STATE OF PLAY:
  • The game is out for Steam and PlayStation. There have been issues with Xbox release and it is unclear when the game will be available.
  • Big Ant are aware that there are playability issues & bugs at present.
  • Content has been temporarily removed from the game to identify where the issues lie.
  • This content will be re-introduced via patches in the coming days.
  • Big Ant have released a summary of what is to be reintroduced, which can be seen below.

I read the easiest and hardest difficulty are not so different atm. Very easy is not very easy from my experience and what I've read from others.
Is there any form of quick disposal modifier in the game you seen? I think that is something that might help, being able to quickly dispose of the ball. Accuracy would obviously have to take a hit but might help avoid some of those seamingly quick teleportation tackles.
Or do you think that not being able to quickly dispose of the ball isn’t an issue?
 
Not to sound like a voracious child who is never happy but are we expecting another patch today?

Gameplay is much improved though, well done BigAntStudios. Not sure if you made it so hard to teach me a lesson. Almost like when you ask for it to be spicy at an Indian restaurant then they **** you up to spite you.

Heaps better though and enjoying the game. Will post some other potential fixes later but now just keen for some form of player attribute editability (even if through cloning and replacing in team) and interchange on management mode and then I will be set to thrash this game for months.

Some other thoughts from playing around this morning.

CONS:
players always stop immediately after they've marked it. Incredibly annoying when it looks like you're on the break only for your player to freeze and instead of being able to run 30 metres they can only run 5.

should be able to rotate player after marking the ball.

AI needs to spoil. All 50/50 marking contests seem to be given to me when the ball should actually spill out.

Mark nearly everything in my defensive 50, making the ai kick a good total difficult unless I restrict myself to spoiling.

Players not manning up, ai movement not near the ball feels random. Although tactics could fix this. I hope tactics in general will fix how the AI plays

If there is a difference between the difficulties it is negligible. I actully find the game more difficult on easiest than hardest. not sure whats up with this

AI Decision making. Seem to go backwards seemingly at random. Even when they had an open forward line

Need the ability to switch players when standing the mark. Incredibly annoying to see open opposition players moving while your defenders are static.

PROS: When switching, players actually move to that side off the ground creating options.

Spoiling feels satisfying.

End to end goals feel fluid and realistic

Hand passing isn't very responsive yet.

The issue seems to be the game thinks the tackling player is a lot closer than how we see it on screen. Like lag in an online FPS or something, you think you're hiding but from the other player's perspective they can see you and headshot you because of the lag. The game quickly catches up behind the scenes and we see it as a tackling teleportation.

Impossible to play properly that way and it shouldn't be happening at all in single player or multiplayer on the same console, so hopefully it can be fixed.

How will consoles import a logo in?
Will we need to save something to the console itself, then import (if you can do that?!?!) or do we need a PC friend to do it for us?
You cannot import a file into a Console build, it's considered too high a risk vulnerability for jailbreak/hacking. You can create from scratch on Console, or download from someone that has uploaded from Steam.

Can anyone who’s put up with the management mode confirm/deny that players improve/regress with time? They don’t have a training system like evo so I’m curious

Without having played it, I’ve seen numerous examples of guys like Sam Walsh being a 35 overall after a couple of seasons. So there is definitely regression… Sounds very broken atm.
 
Do hitouts ever hit the ground or do they go straight to a player every time?
This is a big one that I hope BigAntStudios work on. Hitouts in general need to be tweaked as they can be impossible to win if you're not one of the few A-graders, but also they seem to always go to a player on the same team as the ruckman winning the hitout.

Is there any training videos or free play mode available in this game? I'm tired of the ai being up my ass every 10m while I'm trying to figure out the controls:drunk:
 
Just had an extended session on the PS4, i don't know whether to laugh or cry. It's great but it's killing me.

A couple of new things (for me) -

  • Play Now is more stable than season. The kick meters don't glitch as often, the correct coaches can appear etc.
  • There is little to no difference between hard and easy. In fact 'easy' and 'easiest' might be more difficult. To anyone quietly smirking at their three goal victory on hard while people are losing on easy by ten goals, the party is over you poser. Go play on a real setting.
  • I could be imagining it, but your teammates also feel like they are more useful on a harder difficulty. I am definitely tearing out a lot less hair and the contests seems fairer.
  • I tried to start uploading YT clips but the game crashes more often than not. I've seen things that have made me cry in laughter - all players run on the ground like they were in the change room after a point was scored. The opponent going back to take a kick but choosing to hand it off to a player looking the other way. The ball hit him and dropped to the ground, he didn't even turn around. Now that is a tantrum. The guy taking the kick went over and picked up the ball and not a word was shared. I don't know, maybe BA are pulling out all the stops and programming interpersonal issues between the players.

I could go on but hopefully I get game recording working so I can show instead of tell. We all have the same game but some stuff needs to be shared.
 
patch wen't live on testing wonder what that included hoping a fix for this tackling glitch haven't played the game yet still waiting don't wanna ruin my experience trusting BA Process
 
In the process of getting a PS store refund, anyone had any experience with a PS store refund? been sent troubleshooting steps before they can process it and im unsure if its something i need to follow and/or they track?
