So interestingly, when the ball dribbled out of bounds, a commentator said "he's pinged him for insufficient intent", and of course it was a boundary throw in anyway. So I'm guessing deliberate out of bounds is supposed to be a thing in this game, but just isn't included in the bugged out builds that we're playing.
I got an insufficient intent free against me yesterday. I had the intent to keep it in but the whack handballs made me just handball it straight over the line. Was deep in defence.

On PS5 so not the latest patch, but in terms of playability, the lag between a player taking possession and actually being able to move is still the biggest issue.

Weirdly enough - possibly not a real effect - I felt like it was less of a thing playing as an AFLW team.

We've been told that Champion Data decide these ratings but that makes no sense to me.

Champion data themselves stated a few weeks ago that Dylan Moore is the 2nd highest rated general forward.

“In terms of what he’s done over the last 12 to 24 months, only Toby Greene has rated higher as a general forward across the competition.”

So Dylan Moore is the 2nd highest rated general forward by Champion Data but has 15 players higher rated than him in this game and is only an 87?

I've been pinged a couple of times

If the launch day patch failed to actually launch, I am surprised that we have anything to play. Something like CoD has 300MB on disc for a game that is 159GB. If Big Ant had programmed the same way, we would have just had a blank screen - and Big Ant would have been saved from all of this drama.

People are acting as though what we are seeing is the intended product - common sense tells you that clearly it is not. With most games these days, the launch patch holds the majority of the game elements.

And if the 7 day roadmap is to be delivered, it means that those elements have already been built. This amount of content cannot be built from scratch that quickly.

And if patches are being rolled out at 2.00am, who do you think is doing that? Ross wouldn't be trusting anyone else with this at this stage.

Pretty cheap content here.
This may be an unpopular view, but the person hurt the most by this is Ross. No one in their right mind would deliberately say what he said in this video and deliver what we have now seen. Does anyone really think that he would spend 2 years pretending to build something and then ruin his reputation on a product that will be lucky to break even?

Sorry if reality offends the insatiable pile-on merchants.
Reality is Ross and Big Ant have form for releasing utter trash multiple times, see AO tennis and Cricket.

Don't think the players ratings were meant to be like this on launch. They will be updated soon according to the roadmap.

During one of my matches TDK managed to handball from inside Carlton's 50 all the way to the opposition pocket where it rolled out of play and he was pinged for deliberate. He was facing Carlton's goals too.

Haven't seen the AI miss a set shot yet either.

Other then adding the ingame stats that no one cares about what did this "patch" actually do cause i still cant handball properly or tackle at all

the biggest issue for me is tackling. Once they fix this and we are able to lay a tackle the game will become much more enjoyable
Tackling will be a major focus in tomorrow's patch. If you are sprinting BTW then the tackling window is very small (this is one of the things that will be patched).

The issue is the lack of communication or preview of the game is why everyone has nothing else to go off.

We were never shown any of the new career mode features in action, or even told about them, so you can see why people would find it difficult to believe that they were not broken in the "correct version".

Also the few gameplay videos we saw before launch did not include tactics, a big part of this game as stated by Big Ant themselves. A very strange omission at the time but we were told they'd be in the final game. Then when they're still not there in the game it's very hard for people to just believe that they actually have all these different perfectly working tactics, when everything we've seen so far tells us otherwise.

I trust Big Ant will eventually fix all these issues and we'll end up having a decent game. But the secrecy on the game up until launch is why a lot of people find it hard to believe that all these things were working and it's the patch that has ruined everything.

What about fixing the player directional/turn movements? I turn the analog stick one way, my player either stops moving, moves into another direction or starts running backwards. I can't rush at the opposition ball carriers to tackle, because my players can't turn in their direction.

We didn't see anything related to management mode before the release, which I don't know why. The new contract system is very exciting and when fixed the drafting should be good.

The lack of any preview before launch would've been alright if the game was working fine on release.

But in hindsight it reflects badly that we didn't see anything until we saw the broken version. Which I'm sure Big Ant are just as annoyed with.

Other than just gameplay improvements are we getting more features tomorrow?

I've seen in Management Mode that all the WAFL, VFL and SANFL guernseys are licensed and fully sponsored, it's a cool detail. But outside of the delisted players from last year they're all randomly generated and bald, should we expect to see some licenced players soon?

I know we got team based stats today but what about individualised stats? It seems like an easy task to add as the commentators literally talk about who’s kicking goals and getting possies? Can you confirm Ross?
