All the more reason to flesh out the customisation so you can create and/or share your own custom teams and leagues playing at custom grounds with custom players for custom trophies with custom crowds. The thing is that this occurs with almost all sports games. They become repetitive to the point that when you have done it all, then you have no more left to do but to re-do it all over again. FIFA, 2k and the likes are just the same. You can only win the championship so many times before you get bored.
Yes, the titles like 2k have things in between games where you can control your player to walk around a make-believe neighbourhood, but even then, that becomes repetitive too.
Potentially in future iterations, there could be different tasks and objectives to complete. Aside from trophies, it could incorporate possible 'real life' scenarios where you need to ice the game with only 2 mins on the clock, or win the GF by 119 points, etc.
But as for the gameplay itself, yeah it's a case of "I've seen this all before", so now I am looking into the other dimensions of the game such as the academy where you can spend hours on player creation or stadium creation.
I know for me, I am wanting to replicate my old footy team from back in the hey-day, but time permitting, it makes it hard.
Knowing that this is a base version for years to come, it does tick a lot of boxes and also shows the potential of what it can become in the future.
p.s. My post ended up being longer than yours. Sorry about that.
IMO I believe Xbox will not be released until Proteam is announced with a delivery date.if they’re aiming for late July you’d hope something is announced this week at the latest
I think it says something to how repetitive the game has become and looks like it is going to stay for a long while with no news on updates or on xbox/pro team, that even the few guys in here that would play the game almost all the time and gave us interesting things to look at from their games are starting to get bored of the game and play less and less.
there is no way Ross can say now that the play numbers keep getting higher or there is heaps of people playing daily, and even that there are no returns happening
Microsoft don’t give a shit about AFL 23 and how good or bad it isIMO I believe Xbox will not be released until Proteam is announced with a delivery date.
Maybe Microsoft don't like the fact that BA promised so much and didn't want a game released on their system that didn't live up to the promises.
Pretty obvious that Bigant don't give a s**t about Microsoft either as Ross has quoted previously that Xbox sales make up a very small part of their business.Microsoft don’t give a s**t about AFL 23 and how good or bad it is
They care about their legalities and studios/publishers following the rules, which big ant broke when they released on one console before the other (they had good reason to imo but that probably doesn’t matter)
Sometimes the most obvious/logical explanation is the right one
That’s just a fact though, more players play on PlayStation than XboxPretty obvious that Bigant don't give a s**t about Microsoft either as Ross has quoted previously that Xbox sales make up a very small part of their business.
Last nights the first time I got bored of afl23 and have no real interest in returning until the next patch. if it’s the same I don’t know, maybe when pro team drops.
Its pretty obvious Microsoft would see what was supposed to be there on release and go wtf, bare bones games or games that are prone to crashing tend to get questioned more by them.IMO I believe Xbox will not be released until Proteam is announced with a delivery date.

What’s the thinking here? What fixes do you foresee?you say that now, but just wait a bit.
you'll be back.
Away team chooses.Could someone please tellbme how to select heads or tails at the coin toss. Have tried to work it out many many times, but cant suss it out. Ps4 version. Thanks
Thanks very much. Its been doing my head in. I was expecting it to just be x for heads and o for tails. Am about to have a game now so ill give your instructions a go. Will be a relief to finally have that worked out.Away team chooses.
Press X when the side you want is facing you (when it’s shown up close in slow-mo)
you say that now, but just wait a bit.

I agree. I haven't played for a while now and don't plan to unless they drop something good for management mode in the upcoming patches. I'm not holding my breathe though as I honestly believe Bigant has the management mode where they thought it should be. I honestly don't believe it was planned to have anymore depth. Deepest game my a**I did say I have no interest in returning UNTIL the next patch or proteam. I’m hoping somehow the next patches give the game a something extra it doesn’t have to make the game have more variety. I just don’t know what that can or will be though

I'd be happy if they allowed for custom teams to play through management mode.Hoping for more custom team slots
Ross reached out to me after I published my article and said that BA don't use Steam Libraries for online, they use the MS-owned PlayFab service. I haven't been able to find any data on thatWe've got visibility over Steam numbers, so it will be hard for Ross to lie about those: https://steamdb.info/app/2337630/charts/
Not looking too good for BA, on the Steam platform at least.
That’s quite funny considering the build up of incredulous questions on his own forum that have gone unanswered.Ross reached out to me after I published my article and said that BA don't use Steam Libraries for online, they use the MS-owned PlayFab service.
