Haha Most essendon supporters couldn't give a rat's about what opposition supporters think or do at the footy and particularly given the last few years. You overestimate how much your opinions and actions actually matter in the scheme of things, so 'dealing' with it is not a biggie. From a players perspective, I have been to a fair few matches this year and watched footy in the pub too. There has been next to no sledging or booing that I have picked up, just the odd dickhead in the crowd. If I can't detect it then the players certainly won't. It's business as usual I am afraid. Reading between the lines of your moralising little rant I think it's more an issue of you dealing with it LOL

If you think women aren't better at sledging than men you need to open your ears and eyes. Guys tend to use physical violence, women mental. Mental violence is pretty much the definition of sledging.

Apart from that, it's obvious the EFC did dodgy things and the players were jabbed, repeatedly. Therefore easy sledging target. Problem?? Maybe telling the truth to guys that believed their club is the problem. The Offal certainly don't want people telling the truth too much. Might hurt the BRAND.

The AFL can go **** themselves.

They've thrown these players in the shit since day 1 of this. Told them to take part in the process honestly and they'd be given justice... They did so only to have the contents of their interviews sprayed across the papers... they've leaked anything and everything at every stage through this whenever it's suited their purposes, making the players lives infinitely harder... including for no reason other than to deflect some media heat off the campaigner of a chairman.

But yes AFL, don't let anyone sledge them. 2 1/2 years of hell being used as political pawns by you campaigners, but yep I'm sure it's a few forgotten words in a middle of a football match that they're fed up with. I'm sure that's exactly what BJ was talking about.

So Essendon didn't leak when it suited them and of course it's everyone else's fault except Essendon and the players, your club threw the players in the shit with the way they dealt with this whole business from the start, and one of the 3 main protagonists is still at your club as coach, sorry but it's hard to find sympathy for anyone involved.

As part of the boys club Essendon should have been smart enough to know you don't cross other members of said club, some of the worst decisions of all time were made by the Essendon football club and unfortunately you are reaping what you sowed and the players are the unfortunate ones taking it up the butt for Hird and the rest of the Essendon cronies.

If Dank didn't know TB4 was banned in his interview with McKenzie a year after he supposedly discussed good and bad Thymosin with Jobe, what bad Thymosin did he tell Jobe about? I am really interested to know because I asked Lance the same thing but he never responded. Wonder why that is?

When you add 2 and 2 together i'm sure you will understand why ASADA felt Jobe's evidence should be inadmissible. Mind you, that's only one example I can think of, ASADA may have other reasons as well...

We must all unite as fans and continue to boo as usual at the usual. There is an onus of responsibility on the fans to demonstrate their autonomy from the system.

For the first time in over 10 years, I was almost tempted to go to an AFL game this weekend.

Instead I'll watch a replay and see if it gets as ugly as I expect it will be. If this has had enough local gutter-press exposure, the Essendon players and any attending supporters are in for a real "treat".

Crows fans en masse, are about as feral as it gets (used to be one, so calling it from experience) and I don't think relocation to Adelaide Oval would have changed the experience all that much.

Maybe it is indicative of modern interstate rivalries (and where attendance ratios are north of 90% in favour of the home team), I don't know - but as a travelling Crows fan to Vic and WA, I never experienced the shit that I'd seen showered on interstate supporters at Footy Park. And it wasn't "good natured ribbing".
