I view Franklin as a guy who can kick 8 goals from 10-11 touches, so not a good DTer. Of course, can't tell this early on his career but for now I say go for the first option. No reason why you can't fit him in anyway if you are really keen on him, not that expensive.

I have about 4-5 reserves over $100K as backups for all those risky players (Lappin, Kosi, Darcy, etc.)

Right way to go about it or should I sell them, take a gamble and free up about 400K?

Best not spend too much on reserves. Reserves should be mainly rookies that can get a game... so people like Renouf, Griffen, Ellis, etc.. they are very good value becaseu they are cheap and are probably going to get a game. Even if they only get 40 points their value will soar. So trade Darcy, Lappin and Kosi.. get other youngsters. ANyway... Darcy won't score that much IMO. 2 years lay off with 2 knee reco's.

It's a pretty good side, except for the Centres. Very weak there IMO... McGlyn mgiht not get a game, Lappin is still doubtful... hasn't even done training yet, Kelly is inconsistent while Deledio is still learning the game.
