I see your point that it would cost to much to upgrade Smith but he is showing signs of getting 50-60 each week. Kosi, if played in the ruck can average 80 - 100 like he showed last week and Gilbee will get better scores when Grant comes back soon.
I think Hudson should be kept and trade Smith.
You don't have enough money to upgrade Ellis to Cornes do you?
I have JWS but waiting until Shaw's score of 9 has left his rotation
Wouldn't his TOG decrease when the likes of Buckley and Licuria come back in the side though?

The only thing that will stop The Rock is injury. But since he had 6 weeks to rest his soft tissue injuries it's a good thing and on monday I think he is going to unleash his real potential, expect nothing less than 100+ from him.

After some others thoughts on my trading for this week if I may.
I currently have Ottens and Mooney in the rucks. Both have performed pretty well for me and given that the other rucks haven't been outstanding, this has worked out quite well and gives me something different than most.
They have been averaging approx 75-80 points each per round, so not too bad.
I have the cash to convert them to Cox/White this week which would probably gain me an extra 20 pts per week on average.
If I don't upgrade them this week, then I might keep them for the year and work on upgrading my last mid.
I can change Gibbs/Thomas to Swan this week if I dont do the rucks leaving me with a midfield of:
Kornes, Bartel, Judd, Hodge, Swan, Lappin
The midfield change would gain me an extra 30-40 pts per week on average, given that I am starting either Gibbs/Thomas at the moment.
Am leaning towards the midfield upgrade given the numbers, but the rucks also look tempting and Cox is starting to look good.
Would appreciate some views.

Jeez, tough decision, the mid-field you have is awesome, you have 4 of the best DTers going around. Do you have any cash cows? also if you can trade Gibbs to a more average midfielder than swan then you may be able to sell a cash cow and still have enough to get big cox. If this is a no I would say do the midfield change, last week was Cox's first real standout game i think he's only had one other 100 score. pretty inconsistent, but you know someone like swan will always score higher than gibbs..good midfield though, nice work.

Cash cows mostly gone now. I'll have a look at other midfielders as you suggest, but my strategy is to get the best if at all possible. Midfield seems to be more important than rucks this year, so I'm still leaning that way, but Cox is so tempting.
