IT IS NOT HARD TO MAKE A UNIQUE TEAM!!

if you're willing to be different than its not hard.....it's just that alotta people dont wanna take the risk on getting someone different!!
everyones team look the same coz everyone wants the same players even though there are players just as good around not getting chosen!

what i mean is that everyone wants scott west and daniel cross, everyone wants the cornes brothers and pavlich, everyone wants cox and judd, everyone wants mcleod and bartel....its coz of this that everyones teams are looking similar....but there are so many bargains around in terms of how many people have them in their team.

the point is that there are so manyplayers being overlooked because people are trying to jam their team full of well-known players.....so if you look around you can make your team very unique and give yourself a chance of outscoring the top teams.

Hadley has a b/e of 80 and have Lindsay Thomas as the other emergancy so i am inclined to trade Hadley in for cash. Not sure whether to get Hislop 82k or Martin Clarke 69k (been promoted because of Egan's injury).
Does anyone have any info or opinions which would lead me to choose one over the other?

i have 11 trades and have 3 players i desperately want to upgrade - whitnall, monfries and polak.

also have 115k in the bank. should i trade monfries for brad johnson/chapman this week?

next week ill trade whitnall to shaw, and be left with polak as my only week link.

but i also want to get brock mclean in my mids which already consist of priddis,goodwin,foley,hodge,kerr,lappin.

is my midfield good enough? if not who should go?

Thoughts on Hasleby; thinking of upgrading him for either Burgoyne/Burgoyne/Salopek.
Of the three i'd be inclined to leave Salopek with S burger having to overcome taggers & P burger playing with niggles train of thought may well be to trade P burger.Whats P burger been like in previous DT years !?

Salopek is a good choice. He has had 3 bad weeks, one was in the pouring rain against the Pies at the G, the second coming back from a hammy and the 3rd he got KO'd so they haven't been caused by terrible form. You can pencil in 85-100 from him every week usually.

Has anyone else noticed how quiet this board is starting to get now that most people have less than 8 trades left and good, similar teams?

We're not even half way through and i'm wondering what we're going to be talking about for the rest of the year....

At the moment I can only see the same sort of questions and answers coming up again and again. Feel free to add any other i haven't thought of.

A: Who has the highest average of the players in the price range? Pick who ever is coming back into form...its sooo easy

A: Nothing, serves you right for not having a decent bench player...that was the risk you took

does anyone know the status of Luke Power. has he been playing with an injury, or is he not performing as well as last year thanks to the return of Lappin, the return to elite form of Black, and the arrival of Risca and Stiller?
With plenty of money in the bank and trades up my sleeve, am very tempted to trade him for someone like west/cross/bruce, but then i know i probably should hang on to him.

No i dont think hes playing with an injury but i think the return of Lappin has affected his dt score. Take this for instance in the two years that Lappin was out injured Power scored his best two averages for the season 89 and 99

I'm in the same boat myself, ive got about 25k left and thinking of trading him to Scotland or West next week but I think ill just persist with him and hope his average climbs to around 90

Not so sure why so many ppl r keen to jump on Mclean, sure he is a gun and is capable of some decent scores but the fokker is always out injured at some stage, i put him in the Jonno Brown category of being a high risk selection bcos of injuries...I never would pick either of them but b4 ppl get pissed off thats just me...

If I downgrade Edwards to Gray (with Kosi as my FWD emerg)
then I can do 1 of 2 things.

1. Trade Darcy for a Second tear Ruckman such as White, Lade or Mcintosh.
(Leaving Hudson and Griffin as emerg)

2. Trade Hudson for Cox
(leaving Darcy and Griffin as emerg)

My 2 trades on Barry Hall hurt. Out 1 week when i was on holidays then back in 2 weeks later.

I screwed up bring JJ in last year only to see him dropped 2 weeks later, but this Barry Hall one takes the cake.


Im sure we all have trades we wish we could take back.
