Further to Danny Jacobs injury, I just read this in the paper:

"Hawthorn has suffered a double injury blow, with star forward Mark Williams out for at least a month and defender Danny Jacobs also sidelined.....Jacobs will miss Sunday's game due to hamstring tightness after the Geelong game. But (Hawks football operations manager Mark) Evans said the decision to leave him out for the clash with the Bulldogs was largely precautionary after he missed the second half of last season with hamstring problems."

Looks like, based on that, he should be right for next week. Hopefully or else I may have to upgrade Xavier Ellis to cover.

havent seen much mention of Lenny Hayes when top midfielders are being discussed. He has averaged high 90's for a few years now and has dropped 50 grand this year. At $350,000, does anyone else think hes not bad value?

had him from the start:thumbsu: should be more influential now that he is at full fitness and has his confidence back with that big score last week:)...Hoping he can get a big score against Port, averages well against them:thumbsu:

yeh judd for me too.
i think richmond are pathetic at the moment and the eagles' midfield will run riot against the young tigers. i also thought about putting one of the cornes bro's but ended up going for good old judd.

well how about that!....i just read an article in sportal that states that goodwin is in doubt this week, as well as bode and scott welsh.
It seems he and welsh have 'general soreness'.
heres the link: http://www.sportal.com.au/football.asp?i=news&id=97823

i still reckon he is gunna play, but how well?

if a player doesnt play due to general soreness that is soft in my book. take a leaf out of balls book and play a season with OP. bode and goodwin will play dunno about welsh though he can be a panzy at times.

edit: just read the article looks like bode aint playin

Have had Bartel the last few weeks but he'll most likely get tagged by Rawlings so i went with Chad Cornes

Do not get me wrong, Hodge will stay in my team for the entire season unless he misses more than 4 matches in a row through injury or suspension.
I have so much faith in the guy.
However, i am worried about him for the next few weeks.
With Croad and Jacobs out, he might have to play a more defensive role which will hurt his scores.

Have you ever played a game of AFL? Or if you have, have you ever had to back it up the week later and go hard at it again. Then the next 20 weeks after that and then repeat that process over a few season.

If that doesn't convince ya then maybe theres something behind it or hes copped a knock

He will play loose in defence and rack up the easy touches, its what he does best. Once he is in the midfield he struggles.
