u should do another trade before round 3, u mite not know one yet, but 1 should pop up.

Hmm maybe one might pop up, but I don't want to get too carried away with trades, most of my cash cow trades and upgrades I want to get done by round 11.

Giving me around 10 to 11 trades for the 2nd half of the season, these inlcude poor form, injuries, suspensions, tactics etc.

I'm im going to get more out of X. Clarke than Fisher at a cheaper price (and remember he should rise in vlaue after ronnd 3) and have Cross who is a ball magnet in the side insted of Rischitelli, who i had planned to upgrade anyway between rounds 5-11.

Does anybody have any idea how the dream team costs are calculated? Also with cost increases and decreases, I know it is calculated as a rolling 3 game average, but does anybody know what formula they use to do this?

yea, ur plan and everyone else's too, lol

The question is how much will they go and and by when, you want to upgrade sooner than later, you want to be getting those extra points on the board sooner than later.
For example, Riggio averages 55 for the first 7 rounds, whats his value going to be? Thats the key question.

Luke Ball confirmed OUT!!! Source: SEN

Apparently he wanted to play, but didn't make the midday flight today and will now be a withdrawal.

I dont understand resting players like this. Preseason cup ok, but its a pretty big game for both teams early in the season.

If Ball had a major problem he wouldnt have come back on last week. What a load of crap.

Personally I hope the lions absolutely maul the saints, and then the saints miss the 8 by percentage.

We wont just miss it beacuse you will finish 9th.

Same thing happend a few years ago when Hudgton got concussed came back on but then didn't play the following week. You idiot for having a go at ball for not playing he would be one of a few in the AFL to even consider playing 5 days after you got heavily concussed.

wasnt having a go at ball. he is solid, and its for that reason im pissed off that the club wont let him play. he was heavily concussed, but came back to play and was fine. if he wasnt ok then they wouldnt have let him back. and learn to count *******, its been 6 days since friday. knob jockey.

anyway we will be nowhere near the 8 this year so you guys will finish 9th on percentage.

I think most people will agree that we will make the 8

tossing up between rodan and browne from freo

Rodan is one of the stand-outs at the moment (after only one round though!).

There are calls for Browne to be dropped on the Freo board, and do you want to risk a rookie in your starting 22? That said, some-one like Lindsay Thomas could've had another 25 points this week if he'd kicked straight.

Personally I'm sticking with Priddis and just have an emergency ready to cover for him. I heard (unconfirmed) that he got a heavy knock early in the game, and it was against Sydney after all. At least this week he's back at Subie and they're playing Collingwood. A much better opportunity for him to get some numbers up.

yeah i have l thomas as well, hoping that priddis does not get dropped. if he does get dropped rodan will be in and i hope he wont burn me like he did last year when i dropped salopek for him :(

Ouch!

As a fellow tigers supporter I'm just too scared to pick Rodan after watching him score 30-40 point averages per season. Maybe this is his year though.

the david rodan train will die down by round 4-5... in round 6 people will b asking david who????

Scored a terrible 1619 in Round 1. I'm another one that had Cox as captain with no ruck emergency!

I'm just going to make the 1 trade - Aker in for Burton (Counting on Aker to have a big one in his 250th)

l'm going to take a massive risk and keep Cox as captain. Don't think many others will so hopefully it pays off and he bloody plays!

Just thought l'd add that Fletch is a bloody good bargain. Anyone that doesn't have him should get him in as soon as possible. Scored 102 last week and he'll continue to play the rebounding role where he picks up plenty of points.

Anyway hopefully l get some better luck starting tonight. Good luck everyone. :)

But the important thing is what price will he be come round 6 - $156,000 or $226,000???

Is he the elusive $100K cashcow we all want early on so we can upgrade a mid or two?

Edited for spelling and other things!

In a dilemma between N. Lappin and Rodan

N. Lappin in the long run will allow me to choose a forward like B. Fisher, DT, Medhurt, Gablett or R. Murphy

whereas Rodan will allow me to choose between the likes of Lucas, Lloyd, Hall, O'Keefe etc

any opinions will be appreciated

anyone who knows, what are the chances of playing for the following players:

judd??
fevola?
embley?

and who should i make captain:

judd
goodes
s.black
b.johnson
hall
pavlich

atm i am leading towards pavlich, for the fact that they playing a weak side and he is certain to play thoughts??

Lappin & Ablett seems like the best choice going by history. Ablett should do well against Carlton this week while Lappin is only 50/50 to play.

Rodan & Lucas would be the choice on form.

anyone who knows, what are the chances of playing for the following players:

judd?? sounds pretty unlikely
fevola? not sure on this one, but a couple of people have mentioned that he was in doubt
embley? pretty safe to say he will be playing

and who should i make captain:

judd
goodes
s.black i'd go for Black
b.johnson
hall
pavlich

atm i am leading towards pavlich, for the fact that they playing a weak side and he is certain to play thoughts?? Bombers will double team him for most of the game so I'd avoid

As per bold

Does anyone know if Sam Power for the Bulldogs will be playing all games this season. Is he worth the punt??

I need to replace Tom Harley with someone urgently!!

Or is Graham Polak a better bet???

I'd go Goodes, dominates at the G and Richmond won't be able to handle him.
