Probably need to run it on Windows 10 (despite the minimum system requirements saying Windows 7 ?).

I've tried installing it multiple times on my desktop and gaming laptop. It won't load, super frustrating.
Min OS is Win8

So much possibility for us now to work together and make the most realistic AFL game ever with the new access to sliders.

We effectively can control almost everything. Eg - If we want a congested game or lower scores turn the kicking distance down, etc etc. Haven't got the game on PC yet, will download it sometime this weekend, but very excited to see how realistic I can get the gameplay.

Just staged a big comeback online, only for the game to end as I just got hands to the ball inside 50 for what should have been a kick after the siren to win it.

Lost by a point. Shattered.

Is there anyway to enable vsync?
Getting bad micro stuttering and screen tearing.

I tried forcing it in nvidia control panel but it doesn't seem to work.

Using a GTX 1080 (100+ fps)

Played 5 matches already (vs CPU) and I'm 99% sure I haven't seen a SINGLE ball up resulting from a tackle.
I've tried turning the throw/high/charging etc sliders all the way down (and at 50% and up), and while it seems to reduce the instances of them, it makes zero difference to the outcome (a free kick being paid).. still holding the ball EVERY time (except the occasional throw).

Am I (and the CPU) doing something wrong here? To have played over 2 hours of game time, and seen zero ball ups from tackles, and only ONE throw-in from an out of bounds (the rest have all been paid deliberate!) is a bit concerning.

Is there a slider I have missed that changes the umpires harshness of decision making?

It's only that, and the previously mentioned lack of zoning/space that are downers for me. Love every other aspect of it, and it looks great on my 55inch tv in max resolution.

I've tried turning both teams tactics to "aggressive" as it says the players in each section will play more off their opponents, and I've turned kickout strategy to zone, but it seems to be having such little impact.

Like previously mentioned, it would be great to have CPU players push back when I have the ball and vice versa, so one) there's more congestion in the forward line, and two) I have free players to hit up laterally.

And chance of these two issues being addressed Wicked Witches?
Loving the game otherwise!

Edit: I've turned auto-lock kicking off, would prefer to try and judge kicks to spaces and hitting leads, but there's two issues with this:
1) you can't pivot after taking a mark? (I think). It would be good if you could pivot and look for someone laterally or even backwards. Have I missed something or is this impossible?
2) instead of pivoting, your player starts moving sideways and risks getting called play on- so when you do kick in a certain direction, it's very hard to know what angle the ball will go - it depends on the amount of side stick, but there's no way to know just how wide it will go?

I had seen the system requirements page previously and noted it said Windows 7 in the minimum specs..... last night it did say Windows 8 under minimum.. Checked the page again (keen to read general reviews!) and it's now listing Windows 7 again.

I did get it to fire up on my laptop after a while, now to see if I can make it work on my desktop beast machine (where it will truly shine).

Also, what are sliders doing? I get they modify, but if I lower the percentage of throws/high tackles, I think I am reducing their amount?

But what about marking ability/positioning/timing? Is lowering each of those percentages making that lowered tactic less important, or more?

Same goes for stamina/running etc- does lowering these numbers mean they will run out games better, or worse?

Cheers

Must be a real beast if your still running windows 7.

Its 5 years old have upgraded the hdds, video card over the years. The only thing I can do now is boost the ram to 32gb. Its actually kept ahead of the system requirements of games they're only starting to match it now with the speed.
