I'm scared they selectively edited things but if that video is representative of the final game than Wicked Witch may have actually put out a really solid AFL game.

Crazy to think they could actually pull this off

What impressed me about that passage where the player with the pill did a blind turn, (maybe faked a handball?) went back toward D50 then kicked into the corridor was that these GWS guys are pulling this stuff off after having the game for perhaps only a matter of minutes each. Footy guys trying to play footy, like it's footy!

No previous game has really allowed such a nice play let alone make it look so good.

I know there is trading in the game. Will it be trading like live 2 where you make all of the offers or will there be offers to you from other clubs?

I'm hoping that the people playing just don't know how to spoil, or else the game is broken. For example:

That should be spoiled every day of the week, but it was marked. That was the worst thing about Live 2 gameplay.

I hate the spacing. This is modern day football, pressing, squeezing, pressuring. There is no such thing as a 1v1 in every corner of the ground, or two players with the centre square to themselves in normal circumstances. There was also a bit of gameplay where 8 players were sprinting for the same ball in the pocket.

As for the Heath Shaw bit everyone is drooling about, the only reason that happened was because the other player clearly didn't know the tackle button.

Gameplay was worse than I was expecting, it's all Live 2. I wanted some Live 1 elements but that was clearly a PR stunt.

Good Lord... seems people just want to whine... make a better game yourself and then you can have an opinion. "Oh no... the ball was half a shade of yellow incorrect... blah blah blah."

some people are just..ugh...though...y'know, it is what it is...

it looks very good after a few watches through, very fluid gameplay and lots of improvements I've noticed compares to older games.

Just an AFL Live 2 gameplay video to compare.

Differences are very clear in my view.

That whistle after every score was the most irritating thing to deal with. Hopefully they have fixed the advantage rule as well from AFL Live 2, because I remember no matter how much pressure you were under it would always be play on if you picked it up after getting a free, AFL Live 1 had it done well. The clip from the Giants has me very excited though it looks very nice, I'm so keen for this.

People need to realise it's not going to be perfect. Consider their budget and it looks decent. Besides, 90% of us will play it non-stop regardless of these minor complaints simply because we have an up to date AFL game.

Plenty of mentions from the FB page of future editions so there'll be improvements to come.

As long as the goalkicking isnt as easy as it looks there ill be happy.

goal kicking has always been somewhat easy because of the variety of ages that the game is targeted at, you don't what it to be too technical..

this looks like the first time we've seen a good weather system and realistic set-up whilst kicking for goal..

It's the first time these guys have played it, good chance they don't have the controls perfected yet. Anyway I'd rather it be harder to spoil than in AFL Live 1 where every mark was spoiled just about.

This is a piss take right?

Glad to see that the famous commentary is still the same lol.

Extremely excited for this game now!

Minor complaint but still not a fan of the whole ground being painted for the wind direction/strength, could have been a little less intrusive during the run up. Again absolutely minor thing that I'll easily get used to if the game is fun to play.

I also think the goalkicking is easy because they probably went straight for the easiest difficulty, would make sense.

Aussie Rules Footy on the NES looked better than this crap! Let EA or 2k make these games in future.

In all seriousness though this looks about what I expected. Hopefully there is a good selection of camera angles though because I did find the grass to be a bit jarring at that height, the game looked heaps better when in set shot mode down low. Gameplay looks decent enough for a low budget title but I'd want to hold back judgement until I've sunk a few hours into it.

what exactly do you have a problem with though??

looks pretty good to me and even big titles PES Soccer could have their improvements but are still great games..

Not everything has to be perfect..no game is.

This at least looks quite progressive in certain areas..

There'll probably be an option to turn it off
