Preuss has a speed rating of 69. Now that's too fast, and just continues the sports game trend of clustering player ratings in the middle (to ensure multiplayer competitiveness).

When I get my game and start my season, Ill be dropping his speed rating down and hopefully that has an in-game effect on his speed.

As if FIFA and NBA are realistic to, the game is what you make of it. Some of the play and goals you can score in FIFA is a joke if you want it to be realistic.

I don't think that brigade exists. There was an overwhelming response of "This actually looks pretty good" after the first gameplay video last night. Totally different story after the NM video.

All you have to do is look at league live 3 and Bradman cricket 14 to see what a low budget sports game should look like.

The GWS video made it look like the game was close to that. This north video is a reality check.

I'm still hoping the game is passable... something equaling AFL Live 1 would be enough for me.

Sure it doesn't look perfect and there's going to be some parts of it that aren't great but the only way to make it better is give it a go and get behind it. Let's be thankful that there's any AFL game at all.


I've played both Bradmans I enjoy the game but man do they have some bugs to, constant run outs, getting stumped after you play a shot of leave a ball because the animation stuffs up, constant freezes of the game, fake names unless you downloaded.

I've seen plenty of games of FIFA where a goalie runs all the length of the field .


Sure there is going to be things that annoy the crap out of you but as I said chill out , wait until it's actually come out before going to town on it.

The settings/stats have obviously been change for Preuss, you can see the stamina bar going down (white) and instantly filling up again (yellow) the whole run. Don't let that piece of footage worry you, it was obviously set up, hence the reason for focusing on it in the beginning.

Ok, So next Friday is going to be interesting. We will either see a game that could be a platform for the future or we'll find out that we will truly never have a good AFL game.

If it's just like AFL Live 2 (Which it does looks like coming out of the North Melbourne video.) I think it's time to just take the entire AFL game franchise, take it out the back and shoot it. Because, WW might not be able to create a good AFL game, Tru Blu don't want to give Big Ant the budget they want, 2K and EA of course don't want to touch it as they won't get enough money to make it viable and Frankly, It'll become brand poison if it's a repeat.

I hope that the North clip was just meant to be comedic and the settings were set low (Simply because I want a good AFL game that isn't AFL Live) but was probably the worst video you could put out to try and show that the game was not like AFL Live 2 and my hopes are now lower than before because of it.

Isn't it also highly probable that the north boys boosted Pruess stats in the player editor after making fun of him for being the lowest rated?

At the end of the day we know very little. It's probably not as good as the gws video implied, but it's also most likely not as bad as the North Melbourne video shows.
