So those of you guys who have it, is it a better game than Afl live 1?
Well from my point of view I actually enjoy this. I know the interchanges are canned and some of th movements need improving but this game will be great when we start putting down the issues of this game and WW listen and patch these. St thus moment I rate the game 8.5/10

8.5 / 10?

you must be kidding right

Just letting you know that I just got an email saying that my JB pre-order has been shipped.
I emailed JB about it last night though so not sure if that has anything to do with it. It may have happened for everyone.
If not, email them.

Had a cracker in my first game with GWS
Jeremy Cameron with 20 goals 9, however Lachie Whitfield with 3 goals of his own, 38 possessions and 13 tackles made a case for BOG. Jonathon Giles' 69 hit outs destroyed any chance that Sydney had of a win, GWS winners by 195 points.

...time to get off beginner.

Just went and picked up my copy from EB.. won't get to play it until tomorrow night. I'm not expecting a great deal but at the end of the day it's better than no AFL game at all

Co
Reducing the player's capacity to perform basic actions (like kicking) is not how you increase difficulty. Reducing the time and space one has to perform those actions, that's preferable. Increased difficulty should challenge the player's skills, not punish them. They've got a lot of work to do by the sounds. I'll start a bugs and fixes thread, hopefully they read it.
Could you link the thread for bugs and fixes. Thanks

Personally don't hate it.

It's pretty clunky at first but once you get used to its actually pretty fun (If you can ignore the awful animations), The speed of the game and the ability to actually break away from congestion is nice.

Not the greatest game of all time but its enjoyable enough, I think we all would of preferred a second game from Big Ant but for an AFL game I am pretty happy with this (It's not too bad playing multiplayer with people either)

It's not going to be as good as GTA or FIFA so if you have to make a choice go with either of them, but as a stand alone game I see to be enjoying it.

So far this sounds like pure shite, seriously what is these dumb campaigners reason for taking it away from Big Ant? Who built a solid base to be able to make the best AFL game by a LONG LONG way second time around, but had it given to some ios app developers? Like wot u thinkin, I hope tru blu die

I returned my copy of this game.

My initial impressions were quite positive and the gameplay has improved, but the overall lack of care and lack of passion they showed towards this game ruined it for me.

How this game could leave their headquarters with no team songs after you win a game is absolutely unforgivable. That's the one thing that separates AFL from most other sports.

I'll probably pick it up sometime next year when its in the bargain bin.

Hmmm... Got it, played it. Frustrated as ****.

It's "ok". There are some positives and negatives. Going to give it a few more go's. Got it from Target so can't return. Anyway, $65 doesn't break the bank. My mate will be getting it, so it's worth it.

Whilst some things are better, it certainly doesn't feel "next gen" from the first one, which is a crying shame

I'm sure if you made up some shoddy excuse they would give you a refund. Normally places like Target, Kmart etc. are pretty laid back when it comes to refunds and returns.

It would be good if they released another AFL game on PC so people could mod it and make it heaps better.

I grabbed a copy from Target as well, haven't played it yet though.

Even after reading some bad reviews from people here it was too tempting at $65.

I've only had the first for a few months, upgraded it to 2012 (bought it for 10 bucks off a mate who needed money for the TAB, which he lost within 10 minutes of walking in there) and I've enjoyed it. I've created all the Doggies 2012 draftees and traded the players around the clubs and necessary, and aside from the odd rage I've found it to be a satisfying enough sim. The lack of a career mode annoys me, but AFL Live 2 sounds by all accounts so terrible that it's not worth picking up just for that. Surely it's really not that bad? People can be quite scathing just for the sake of it.
