Good to see a few qld'ers in this thread. Be interesting to see how much stock each store gets that isn't preordered.
I wonder what stock levels will be like at the Kmarts/Big W/Target. Or if Bigant/Trublu have a set allocation for each store.

So I pre-ordered about a week ago at GAME in Werribee. Am I able to price match, as GAME won't be the cheapest, or nah?

Called my EB Games to ask about release date, they said first week of April? I said "Are you meaning first few weeks or the first week?" They said the first.
Not going to happen. After speaking to a woman from HES in Sydney today, she confirmed that it won't be first week of April.

Eb has it in there system to come out on the first. This is just a placeholder and when an official date is announced it will change. Ask any staff member and they'll look it up....see it's the first and thats what they'll tell you. Unfortunately it's wrong.
GAME has it in their system as the 21st. Again, if it gets announced for the 14th, then this will change.
Regarding the bloke above who preordered at GAME. Did you give them the full amount when you preordered? Usually you only give them $10 and then take something in to pricematch it on the day. For AFL live I put a $64 preorder on (only because they have a pretty sweet trade deal at the moment and I've got a $33 reward voucher). I plan on picking it up for around $89-$100 on release day.

Got some bad news for some.
The guy from Tru Blu/HES wherever he was from today said that they(HES/Tru Blu) don't do games on a yearly release. so Highly unlikely to be getting the AFL game every year. probably every 2 years.

going to the franga EB tomorrow. 3 batteries charged so hopefully i get some good footage
Pretty disappointing, hopefully this game has a long lasting appeal and is supported with roster updates.

Just a bit of tongue in cheek!
A minigame of a massive punch-on would be a fun addition, Eg, getting belted by 70+ points brisbane vs collingwood initiates a minigame punch-on sequence that if you win sees the momentum swing back to the lions.
It'd be just like the glory days.
Those were awesome to do back in AFL Live 2004. Except they were made into 20 minute quarters so I could come back within 5 minutes. Would love to try and do the comeback on hard on 5 minute quarters.

I'm assuming the guys that are in here getting nostalgic for the previous games are all playstation/pc gamers?
I can only think of one AFL game that I've played previously and my memories of that are pretty sketchy! I am an xboxer though.

The date and time are yet to be confirmed, but it will be within the next 2 weeks
It will be held at my store which is EB Games Midland. Ross is flying over himself for the demo
Once we have a date and time, myself or Ross wil let you know

I've got an EB store about 5 min away, it's tiny, but that just means more gametime for me.
Please send the invoice for your travel to EB Taigum (QLD). I'm sure they'll pick up the bill!
