Quick question for HBgeyz (see what I did there? ), seeing as he is the lord of AFL Live.

With the goalkicking, does the angle in which you need to kick for goal on when you have a set shot vary for each player depending on how high their kicking stat is or is it something different all together? Seeing as you've probably played it more than anyone else here (the obvious aside), you've probably got the best feel for this.

The rucking is genuinely the best thing in this game (which is saying something when so much else is absolutely fantastic!). You really want to participate in each one. The best thing about it is that you give your rovers a lead in with the way you tap it out and it's one of those things that you can really direct it absolutely perfectly to give the advantage.

I don't think there's the option to do such a thing (but won't say that there categorically isn't), but really the ruck is so good that you will just want to be in every contest trying to give your player first use.

I understand that it's good. I've read that multiple times. But it would still be cool to have the option.

If the opposition have kicked the ball and you have no other way of getting the ball can you dive and punch the ball over the goal line or away from it?

No but you'll be able to kick it off the ground through.

I've seen quite a few. They look great when they happen, I think Troy Taylor takes a speccy at one point in that 9 minute vid from LoneWolf.

I don't like what you did thar.

But I definitely noticed some slight more arcs on players that generally do have they're usual 'big arc' (Franklin and Cloke in particular definitely seemed to swerve it a bit more than others...may have been perception but it felt they definitely "arc'd" more). But generally the kicking for goal comes down to being similar for each player, it's a matter of how hard you kick the ball to how much the ball will arc as well as how far they can also kick. The set shot banana attribute would definitely have more of an impact though (however from general play Jacketh Watts had an awesome banana shot for goal in one of our matches).

I also have both but I'll be opting for the 360 version soley for the controller. Have had this preordered since EB started offering preorders

I was in the same boat Baz but I bought a Power A controller for the ps3 has the xbox layout with the left stick above the D-pad, the way it should be

have seen them at GAME and EB, I bought mine online and have been bashing it about for a few months now and its still going strong

Yeah i got given one of those last year by the vendor. They work great. I just got an an adapter that makes your 360 controller work on PS3, but it didn't come with instructions, so still trying to figure it out

I just finished watching Roughy's mark and felt I had to write something about it. Get out of my head.

Very excited to see how many different animations there are for things such as marks in different situations.

Roughies mark may have been good, but the way big Macca stood tall in the centre when it mattered deep into the 4th.

Technically speaking Collingwood have the same chances of finishing 16th as 1st right now... but of course they're not going to finish 5th XD... nobody in the competition is anywhere close to them which is why they're so scary, us non-Collingwood supporters can only hope they slip up on Grand Final day, and playing 2 in the course of 1 year... that isn't likely to happen...
