To clarify the "sell out" - I believe the game will be on the shelf for day one at some stores, however, some stores will run out early, others that have ordered heaps will have it for as long as a week.

There are some retailers that have not ordered enough copies and I think they may well be dropping the price to $89 with no chance of having stock and are doing it to cause disruption at other retailers via price matches (and of course to drag people through their stores to the back counter :) )

Does it mean anything to you if the game is released early? Surely your end of month cheque just gets a bit bigger!!

To a developer it makes zero difference. But retailers get majorly pissed off when dates are broken for major games as it can steal business.

I remember for FIFA 10 an aussie retail broke the street date by 2 days and were gifted an insane fine by EA.

A bit different for AFL however as the market is alot smaller, highly likely a few places will break the date on Tuesday/Wednesday

certainly hope so. would love to have it sooner rather than later

Apparently it will be at the retailers by Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning latest. Most stores you think would wanna get it out the way so have it on sale by Tuesday or Wednesday. I can see the first person on here claiming to have it come as early as Tuesday....or just my wishful thinking!

A question for those that saw me beating Collingwood online - what info did it give you? (I got some messages saying it was a close game, I couldn't see it from "my side" of PSN :) )

Under your psn it said - AFL Live CARL (1.0 6) vs COLL (1.3 9) when I saw it.

Anything to do with this game is good. Accept me on PSN ross so i can see your score updates! Go the blues :)

Ross do u play xbox much?

I don't play Xbox as much as PS3, however, I will over the next few weeks to make sure I am even handed about it :)

also these are the things the next afl game needs
*unlockable players like gary ablett snr nathan buckly and more
As much as people want past legends to be in, it would be utterly impossible to get them in.

You see they would have to be individually licensed by the publisher as they're not actually under a banner like the current AFL listed players.

It would cost way too much to individually license each former player and what you have to know as well is that if it were to happen, they can name their price. So don't ever expect it.
Anyone on PSN check out what I am playing :p
And yet not one trophy earned as of yet...retail version or still gold master? I hope you're not the first to Platinum it.:(

That is VERY impressive to have to the minute updates through the friends list like that. First game to ever go that in-depth. VERY, VERY impressed I must say!

First ever for the PSN?

I've definitely seen games do that on the Xbox before.

I sent Ross a message too saying it was rather impressive, though I do have to say it's not the first game to do it. I've seen live scores from other games that friends have on PSN, I think maybe MLB the show is one of them. But that said, it is still a really cool feature and one that pleasantly surprised me.

There's been games that tell you much of what someone is doing in a game (like for Blops it's "Playing TDM on Summit" or something like NBA 2K gives you "Is browsing the menu", but I've never seen something as in-depth as updating the scores in a match.

Ross, I've known you for 3 years and I never thought you had an evil streak, but after reading your last few posts I'm seeing you in a new light.

Tease ;)
