"Because AFL Live has a strict embargo that we can't break, we have to wait on the vendors to tell us when it is okay to do so or risk fines, future special offers, etc. If you have a preorder with us we will be calling you as soon as we get the go ahead to sell copies, otherwise just keep an eye out on this page and I'll be letting everyone know when they're on sale!"

That's the reply I got from EB games official FB page.

gonna be a ****ing madhouse at chadstone tomorrow

fuarrkkkk

Not necessarily. Like I said mate if you have a pre-order at any EB games you call them and say look EB and JB at Chadstone have been selling games today can you confirm that this means you will release your stock today. Then they call up head office, get confirmation (takes 10 mins I was told) then they will call you back and say yes mate come collect your order.

Hey Ross, just a quick question for us lucky few that have the game already do you know why we cant view/compare trophies on PSN? They sow up on our individual trophy page but not on anyone elses such as yours

On topic- How do people feel the games Longevity will be?

For me it will mostly depend on how good the AI is. With sports games in the past the sole reason why I keep playing them is because they still offer me a challenge. But with those games that have incredibly easy AI I just get bored of them after a month. An example is PES. I think it was PES 5 or 6, don't really remember tbh. But the point is that I played it so much that I understood the AI so well, and even on the hardest difficulty I could anticipate what they were doing and win pretty much every game 10-0. Needless to say it got boring fast.

Games like FIFA 10/11 and Madden 10/11 have kept me playing long after release because they continue to offer me a challenge. I don't even play online with these games yet they're still on the top of my gaming pile. :thumbsu:

AFL Live already has an advantage though. I don't play FIFA or Madden online because it's almost impossible to find other Aussies online. AFL Live will be the complete opposite. :D

So while I'll no doubt be playing online for many months, it'll be the AI that really decides whether I'm still playing the game 12 months from now.

Man, all this talk about early releases is making me want to play this game SO ****ING BAD! I CAN'T WAIT 'TILL THURSDAY GODDAMMIT!

Someone needs to look harder then, because there is a whole website for Australians who play Madden (and sometimes FIFA) online.

Anyone tried any Queensland stores today? I tried some where I live yesterday but I get the feeling it's the same situation as the Vic's, in that the stores will probably get their stock tomorrow and surely (hopefully) one of the Kmart's or Big W's etc. will break the date.....?

Gotta work til 2pm tomorrow then I'll be onto it like a fat kid with cake. :thumbsu:

As I said earlier, I rang JB at Chermside, and he told me it's out on the 19th of May.

So I have no idea what's going on in our screwy state.
