If you play online there will generally be less tackles. This is because the human players are more evasive, normally. They're also slower to react. It's hard to "fool" the AI and run around them but it can be done quite easily against a human opponent.

I must say I'm loving the game so far, as evidenced by it being 3.06 AM and only now am I finally going to bed. Just had a draw!

The step up from Professional to Veteran sure is a frustrating one.

WTF?! this game sways momentum from quarter to quarter like a mother F***er!

I kicked 10 goals in one quater to none, then next quater he kicks 11 to none, then back to me kick 8 to none.

This is happening all the time?

its weird i will dominate everything free kicks, possession, one on one marking contest, ruck taps etc, then next quarter boom! the tables turn?!?!?

i just lost 164-9 lol wtf i couldn't even get the ball it was always in his hands or sailing through the goals, every kick just about went in... looked like he didnt even try just tap shoot and it goes in.. well at least i didnt quit

Except marking.

I can not take a contested mark, always hit /\ way too early.

I love hearing how hard this shit is, Can't wait to play it! About the AI and being to "quick" and unable to evade them "says some people" Just makes you appreciate how good the AI actually is in say, Fifa 11.

What about when you try to change players but it goes to some random that isn't anywhere near the ball?
What about when you finally get the player you are after and he does a quick u-turn in the other direction?

The game has so many frustraiting things about it, im not sure if the good outweigh's the bad at this point.

Use the right stick in conjunction with L1. U-turn I've experienced. Players don't "lock on" to the ball as much as, say, in FIFA games. This is probably so you can execute bumps easier.

It's been out for a day or two. Give it time.

Just while we're on spoiling.....Has anyone else noticed that you (possibly?) don't need to hold down LT/L2 to spoil with the right analog stick? I always forget to hold down L2 yet my spoil still works just using the stick....

Anyway, bed time I guess.....9am start

So can you only use your created players in custom seasons even if you change the lineups around? I created myself in the game but when I go to premiership or NAB Cup the teams go back to the default but If i go to custom season or cup my player is in the team????

Also ive found that if you edit a created players position it wont change, i tried to change my CHF to a rover but everytime I go back into the game he is still at CHF, even after I have reset all the rosters and reassigned him.

Wow. I was at a friends all of yesterday and got home to find the game had been released . I then had to read 80 pages and by the time I finished I knew that anything I posted would make no sense.

Both my parents are working today so I have to catch the bus into town to get the game . Hope I don't get stabbed . I'm a bit disappointed to be so far everyone else in getting the game already.

My take on a few things.
Is it that the team songs weren't able to be licensed?
If you have to use the R stick as much as people say. Is it a bit awkward on the PS3.
Why can't you view who you played online?
So you can't chat over the PSN?
