If the AFL put a rule in place that every club needed to provide only 2 Jumpers for the season and they had to follow the following 2 rules what jumpers do you think clubs would go with.

Rules:

1. The clubs home jumper must be either a dark or coloured strip
2. The clubs away jumper must be predominantly white, will small amounts of dark/colour

These are some examples of clubs that could keep there 2021 home and away kits, if the above rules were brought in.View attachment 1293548
This would be a good rule for your team and the other teams with white in the jumper, however what about teams such as Richmond, Essendon and all other teams that don’t have white in their jumper nor want white in their jumper?
I like Richmonds yellow with black sash away jumper we wore in the 2017 grand final.

There needs to be a committee that reviews the fixture at the start of the year and then determines the kits to be worn for every match in the season.
Clubs should have to provide 3 kits to be worn, including a third novelty one plus indigenous round etc. The first kit and second kit should be 75% or more predominantly the one colour. Stripes etc should not be thick and bold but more thin if they aren’t the base guernsey colour.

The third kit should be designed with clashes in mind: eg Collingwood should have one that doesn’t clash with North, St K or Geelong.

There should be no such thing as a home kit or away kit. The best visual kit combinations should be applied for each match.

It’s time to join the rest of the professional sporting world with proper kit combos that don’t look woeful on tv most weeks.

no, **** that. home team wears whatever they want, away team has to accommodate. obviously there's going to be a few exceptions but that's fine, work it out on a case by case basis instead of trying to invent these sweeping policies that will also be full of holes and not always work, but are guaranteed to leave some clubs (us and Geelong mainly) wearing kits they don't prefer as a full time home jumper.

You seem to have contradicted yourself there?
Take the EPL for an example, they have a home kit, away kit and third kit.
Doesn't every professional sporting team have a home kit?

We only just got rid of our white kit. No thanks.

Yeah, another problem with a silly blanket policy like this. Can someone who advocates this dark/white idea honestly tell me there are any matchups that GWS can't avoid clashing with by wearing their full orange or full charcoal kits?

Richmond don’t wear white jumpers end of. Even the white maggots don’t wear white any more. Even Daryl White didn’t wear white.

Something is not quite white with your suggestion. 😳

It's a really easy thing to fix, but we don't want to do it.

The home team has primacy - they can wear whatever they want, regardless of effect on opposition and what they want to wear.

The away team must wear something that doesn't clash.

Simple.
Which honestly should include the prison bars for Port.
