Good idea, it's just so hard to make money on multi's consistently.
I hit one last year from a $5 bet and won $300 but it hasn't happened since.
Hell lately i'm finding it hard enough to pick a solitary winner in the AFL lately let alone multiple legs.

Anyway hoping GWS can get up tomorrow, as it's my final bet for the weekend.
The more i think about it the more i'm liking Richmond though so not very confident :(

Had a stinker myself last week, thats why im giving myself a week off here and fighting temptation. Turned out good tonight as my three bets would have been losers.

This is one thing i do when im going bad now days (as apposed to when i was in my early 20's and a loss chasing maniac) instead of as a poker player would say 'tilt off my stack' , give myself time to reassess, look back over my bets/data base, find out where i went wrong, study form, go back over my strengths (bets where i have an edge) and focus in on them rather than worrying about my graph taking a dip south. It takes discipline to have a week or two on the side lines, much like bankroll management.

3+ leg Multi's are defiantly not profitable for me over the past 6 months. Something i noticed when looking back over my bets last weekend. on indefinite leave until further notice.

1U Cunny v Ziebell DT @ 1.70
1U Kelly v Mackie SC @ 1.65

RTD 1-0-1 -0.65U

Ziebell was an absolute jet, lost that one fair and square. Kelly was giving everyone a masterclass until half time where he fell of the planet. Managed to be just far enough ahead to keep a rampaging Mackie at bay

Hang in there mate, we all go through a rough run at some stage no punter in here gets it always right. The best advice I can tell you is either take a break, reduce unit size or make "paper bets" till you get your confidence up again.

Looking at two DT bets this morning:

Heath Shaw v Devon Smith @ 1.90

Based on recent form both players have been pretty bad, but I feel like the Giants will see the ball down in defense a lot, giving Shaw more opportunities for points (especially if he handles the kick-ins with Hunt out of the team). The inclusion of Addison will also see that small-forward attention will be taken from Smith in favour of Addison.

Callan Ward >107.5 @1.87

He's averaging 102, and with Mumford back in the team (assuming he can dominate Richmond's poor ruck, which he should even after injury) he will get more opportunities for clearances, boosting his score.

Yeah it hasn't been to bad i guess, had a good run on the horses until Thursday where i got a couple 2nds but no winners from my picks.
I might take a break from the Footy next weekend (or make paper bets) unless i see something that screams out value =P.

Anyway Go Giants! Got a freebet riding on them =P

my bets for tonight:

2.75u total under 178.5 @ 1.48 - luxbet
.5u on Motlop FGS @ $15 (money back if jimmy kicks 2+) - sportsbet
1u Selwood most DT points of group (top scoring players of game) @ $5 - luxbet
2u Cunnington over Ziebell DT @ 1.75 - sportsbet
well that wasn't a good start to the weekend
Took a bit of a wild Multi this week but don't like my chances at all! Anything can happen though i suppose and you can't even buy a Pie anymore for $4!

Cats Over 39.5
GWS +18.5
Pies -19.5
Hawks H2H Win
Dogs +26.5
Blues Under 39.5pts Win.

$991.21 collect for a $4 bet!

Something i do when on a bad run which may well happen next week is that i make paper bets and have a week off on the punt. This might be the way with my DT bets just not reading things well and its probably largely due not doing anywhere near the research i did last year. ie: points scored at certain grounds, points scored against certain opponents.

This year ive mainly bet with the thought he will get tagged so will struggle (has back fired a fair bit this year) or he wont get tagged he will do well. Even though sometimes ive read those correct i still havnt won. Had much much less time to research this year than last. That will change after this month though.

Great post. I usually dont get back on the punt until my paper bets end up positive and i feel like i have a read. Its like a reward thing, i only am allowed to get back on it if my research means i end upp positive in those bets.

You can get 105.5 for Ward somewhere

The reason im avoiding this bet. Hes actually avg 111 in full games/no sub games, however Jackson tagged him last year and it might happen again kept him to just 89.

I dont really like the top bet either, 2 players who have a huge scope or range of scoring coulg either way. Id be wanting 2.00 each for them (ie 50/50) no bet.

But best of luck. Ward over 105.5 is the best one to look at IMO

Yeah, probably a good call. Haven't bet on anything yet, was just throwing it out there. You make some good points

GWS vs Richmond

1U - GWS SU @ $4.00 (Luxbet)
1U - GWS +23.5 @ $1.92 (Sportsbet)
2U - GWS Over 82.5 @ $1.88 (Sportsbet)
2U - Adam Treolar Over 96.5 DT (Luxbet)

Lot riding on GWS today. Feeling nervous.

throwing 50 bux on the tige's to cover the line for a cheap thrill but I think they'll cover it. GWS are rubbish. So are we but I think we're a slightly better brand of rubbish.

Dusty, Vickery, Deledio, Cotch and Riewoldt will rip them to shreds. Jack will kick a big bag today.

Get on.

Best of luck everyone.
I've gone pretty big on the Tigers SU, think they bounce back but I just can't lay points on the Tigers at the moment.
Think it will be low scoring too.
