Yer kinda glad they are dogs this week, gives me a chance to hedge a horribly ill conceived bet on Sydney to finish top non Victorian team. Didn't realise how easy the Freo schedule is.
How have Freo been travelling this year (against quality opposition)?
Lost twice last year at AAMI to the Crows (and three times for the season).

West coast were paying $1.45 v rich all last week on sportsbet. So they have come in a bit after a strong display and a pretty poor effort by rich.
Richmond might put up a nice little fight for a few quarters but WC will be way too strong still IMO. 40+ might offer some good value.
Hate to say it but I reckon WB are a huge chance this week. My boys are struggling to have a settled back line since losing trengrove. Confidence is a bit down and WB played a huge game against the saints and looked pretty good with Boyd getting back to his best.

Always like to do an early week big multi before I put too much thought into final teams.
Collingwood, Freo, Eagles, Swans, North melbourne, bulldogs all H2H @ $15.28
If I take Bulldogs out it drops to $6, can swap them for port to get $10.53 but will stick with the first one.
Edit: Add another small multi to the list, just one for friday and saturday. Bulldogs 1-39, Collingwood H2H, Fremantle H2H and Sydney 1-39 paying $16.91

Any chance of a Brisbane upset? Up at the Gabba, not sure how pies traditionally go up there
Pies are one of the best away teams in the comp, after getting a rocket from Buckley 40+ would be my bet.

Anyone taking Hawthorn at the line? I normally don't play with massive lines but am tempted on this one... Melbourne wouldn't beat a local side.
Because StKilda lost to a rabble and North have been within a goal of a few of the top 4 teams. I think they are a decent price.

Got done by the dockers in freo (who had injures also) / lost first time in 13 years to swans @ mcg (pumped!)
If Brisbane get out to $4 they are worth a go IMHO

Brisbane already are at $4 on Sportsbet, Leuenberger out for a month. If he was in it would be a lot closer, without him Pies are certainties imo

What're peoples thoughts on this multi, Collingwood, Fremantle and Sydney all H2H and then Bulldogs 1-39 paying $11.17 on Sportsbet. Reasoning behind the dogs is they have beaten the power the last 6 times, have won 6 of their 8 matches up at TIO Stadium and feel like they have a big edge in the ruck with Minson.
Personally I feel quite confident with this multi and feel like putting quite a bit on it but wanted to see if anyone disagrees?

I wouldn't be confident about any bet involving the Bulldogs.

Reasonable prospect, but I wouldn't be too confident. I wouldn't be relying on the Bulldogs with a large amount.
No love for the Bombers?
Under Hird they have a good record interstate. Last three games against the Swans there has only been a kick in it either way. Sydney have some structural issues that the better sides (Geelong, Hawthorn, Freo) have exposed with Johnson out for the year, LRT going down, Mumford playing like crap and now Reid going down on top of that. I think the market over reacted to Collingwood's win against Geelong, and it has done the same with Sydney's win over Collingwood. Hurley is out but the bombers have been pretty good at plugging holes this year. I'd certainly back in what they have in reserve over bloody Jessie White or whoever the swans are going to revert to. Sydney deserve to be favourites going in but I would have the Bombers at about $2.20 rather than the $2.73 that's available in the market.
