I wouldn't be too confident backing Collingwood. They were very lucky to beat the Saints last year. St. Kilda at the + looks very attractive to me. I also don't mind Essendon at the minus and Richmond at the plus.

With Port, it usually happens that when teams start hot like they have, their first loss of the season can sometimes be an unexpected shellacking.

WC started 6-0 last year before losing to Essendon by 61
Brisbane started 4-0 in 2010 before losing to Melbourne by 50
Geelong 8-0 in 2008 and lost to Collingwood by 86
West Coast 6-0 in 2007 and lost to Geelong by 39
Bulldogs 4-0 in 2006 and lost to Adelaide by 77
St. Kilda 10-0 in 2004 and lost to Sydney by 36
Brisbane 4-0 in 2002 (20 game win streak) and lost to West Coast by 46

I'm not saying North will belt Port this week, but it's something worth considering.

North are absolute monties. They are a great team. They even though 1-4 are finals bound.

GWS line will be +85.5 even then it wont be enough..

What about St Kilda 20-0 in 2009 and lost to Essendon by 2 points?

I can't see North smashing Port, they are an average side at best. Not sold on Port but they are playing with belief at the moment.....Port came back from 40 odd points last year to beat them.

Its a no bet game for me but I don't understand how people think North will smash them..they are truly average with big mental issues.

I'm trying to work out if you're asking a serious question here. I don't want to jump to any conclusions, so I will wait for a response from you before making a judgement as to whether or not you have a problem with reading, or if you are just attempting to be funny.

Not much value in the straight out win markets. Plenty of value in the margin betting though. The best bet I've seen so far is Geelong 1-24 @ $3.30. Geelong have been very content to just win games rather really put teams to the sword. Richmond are competitive but Geelong should be too good.

I wouldn't be touching that game. We are so up and down it's not funny. We are 2-3 against the spread this year. I'm going off the top of my head, but I am assuming West Coast are even worse at 1-4. Not worth touching that game.

Nic Nat likely to return by the way.

Yes it was a humorous remark.

Port 5-0, Kangaroos 1-4
Port won the last H2H game
Playing in Hobart where Kangaroos are 1-2 (the win being against GWS)
Port $3.30????

The Hobart stat is clutching at straws. Sample size of 3? You mention GWS but fail to mention the 2 losses were against top 4 teams.

How about Ports wins so far this year? GC, GWS, Melbourne amongst them but don't mention that.

Port won last H2H game by 2 points, yes. We won the 3 before that by 7 goals, 10 Goals and 6 goals.

Fair enough you want to make a case for Port but you need to actually provide stats that do help the case for your side, rather than just ignore what you don't want to see.

Statistics can be very misleading at times.
Remember in that game at Football Park last year, North were up by 5 or 6 goals at 3/4 time and fell in a hole to lose.
