Re: AFL Round 9 - Carlton vs Geelong

Bartel? really? went missing in the second half big time.

5 Selwood (stellar for the first three quarters)
4 Johnson (kicked the ones he needed to, got involved up the ground too)
3 Chapman (back out of his mini slump with a solid four quarter game)
2 Varcoe (showed up for three goals when he needed to)
1 Kelly (coughed it up a lot, but can excused for all the grunt work he did)

5. Kelly (reason his DE % was low is because he was winning basically all our in close clearances. Was a warrior.)
4. Selwood (Great for 3 quarters but think he got injured late in the 3rd and limited his out in the 4th).
3. Chapman ( Solid 4 quarters. Kicked crucial goal late in 4th - as always)
2. Christenson (Really impressed with his grunt work and poise under pressure. Clean hands and with a good head on his shoulders).
1. Stokes (Killed Yarran and bobbed up with a few goals. Solid and underrated)

5. Mackie (long live #4)
4. Selwood
3. Kelly
2. SJ
1. Bartel

5. Selwood
4. Scarlett
3. Johnson
2. Varcoe
1. Corey

Thought Kelly would do great by winning the clearance but then he would f*** it up by giving it away so he gets no votes...honourable mentions to Bartel and Chapman who always lift for us when we need it

5. Selwood (a warrior)
4. Kelly (a velvet warhorse)
3. SJ (frustrates and exhilarates all at the same time)
2. Scarlett (won us the game in the last 2 minutes)
1. TV (game breaking 3rd Q without which, we lose)

Strange game tonight, was it a case of Carlton playing better than us or did we play an off game? Tough game last week and perhaps some emotion during the week with the passing of Bobby Davis and the week's rest to Carlton seemed to have helped them as the game went on.

1. Kelly (Arguably the best utility player in the game today)
2. Boris
3. Chappy
4. Johnson
5. Mackie

really liked Duncan's game as well, won't be long before he's starting to poll votes
