Pink coloured pass out worked a treat
Yep, no clipboards and no queues at gate 7, not sure why people bother with gate 6 for big games, too lazy?

Yes, about 1200.Now the season is over, do we know how many ppl on the waitlist have been offered gold upgrades for 2024?
Pausing isn't an option.Does anyone know if you pause your membership for a year do you continue to progress on the waitlist? I’ve got a club membership and not really using the AFL membership at the moment.
AbsenteePausing isn't an option.
My experience living overseas for a few years - you can pay a reduced fee to go absentee, no entitlements aside from moving up the waitlist and a guest pass or two to use.Does anyone know if you pause your membership for a year do you continue to progress on the waitlist? Think they had during covidPausing isn't an option.
I signed in Feb 2011 and was 2000 on the waitlist this year. Should be around 800 now if 1200 have upgraded to gold.Just tried calling the hotline to check my wait list number, says they are close d for Anzac Day holiday!
I joined around 2010/2011 so hopefully not far off
It will be interesting to hear what number you move to.I signed in Feb 2011 and was 2000 on the waitlist this year. Should be around 800 now if 1200 have upgraded to gold.
should find out in a few weeksIt will be interesting to hear what number you move to.
Can people decline to be upgraded when the offers come out mid year and then sign up the following year? If so, that may mean your are a little higher than 800.
1200 were offered but you don't know how many took it up.I signed in Feb 2011 and was 2000 on the waitlist this year. Should be around 800 now if 1200 have upgraded to gold.
Heaven forbid you ask a reasonable series of questions!1200 were offered but you don't know how many took it up.
At the end of 2021 my sister was around 2100 on the waitlist. Around 1900 were offered upgrades but when she got her renewal notice she had only moved up 1200 spots to around 900.
I emailed AFL membership asking them to explain the discrepancy and they wouldn't answer my questions. I asked them if 1900 were offered but only 1200 took it up why weren't the 700 spots offered to the next in queue? I asked whether this would impact total Gold member numbers in 2022 (ie if they had 30k full members and 1900 dropped off yet only 1200 took up full membership would that mean only 29.3k full members?) I also asked whether those who deferred the full membership option could do so indefinitely or were they offered once and then go to the back of the list.
Like everything to do with the AFL they refused to answer.
Luckily (?) Melbourne didn't make the GF in 2022 so it didn't turn out to be an issue. My sister was eventually upgraded this year.
From memory the upgrade offers were all sent at the same time in 2022 (just going by this thread and people saying what their waitlist number was).Heaven forbid you ask a reasonable series of questions!
This year people on this thread reported that they were offered upgrades at different times. So I would guess in that example of your sister, there were 1200 places available for upgrade, but it took 1900 people to be offered an upgrade before they filled those places. People would surely ask before declining so I presume they have been told they will stay at the same spot on the wait list. 700 would not give up the chance of Gold after so long otherwise. (Assuming that is the case, I would not take up Gold when offered until a year later, if my team was not contending that year.)
That is quite a low rate of take up. I am just over 5000 and with people up to 1200 being offered an upgrade this year, I was hoping to drop to 3800 or better, but maybe that won't be the case.
No access to MCG finals pre Southern Stand. They use to have medallions that you just past through the fence for some else to use to gain entry including Grand Finals.Found this link on one of the AFL Members Facebook pages and thought it worth sharing as some may find it interesting.
Not much we don't know already although I was surprised VFL Park members were given access to an expanded MCC reserve for GF's between 1984-1990. I was wondering what the access was to GF's prior to the Southern Stand being built in 1992. Does anyone know whether VFL Park members had access to finals/GFs at the MCG pre-1984?
They really need to come clean on this. The only reason for a lack of transparency is to cover up behaviours that, at a minimum, don’t pass the pub test1200 were offered but you don't know how many took it up.

You can drop to Bronze. That's safe and you will still progressDoes anyone know if you pause your membership for a year do you continue to progress on the waitlist? I’ve got a club membership and not really using the AFL membership at the moment.
So apparently Jan 2 2011 is one of the last to get upgraded to gold
I’m mid 2011 but waitlist number is 3100, it came down from about 4400 at the start of the year
