Fairly low act to get on and hold up the tickets for 8 minutes...

Anyway I landed 4 in N26 Row A without a dining package (they were Dogs supporter memberships at 10AM however).

Oh please, before you jump the gun, I was undecided. Was still speaking to my wife about whether I should go until about there was 30 seconds left on the cart.

Was also thinking about letting my Doggies supporting mother in law use my membership.

Decided not to go because I thought there were Doggies supprters who deserve the tickets after being out of the GF for so long and I also didn't want to risk my membership letting someone else use it

Time to come down off your high horse.

I'm not going, but I jumped on to see what ticket I could get if I wanted to go.

Seems Level P & M are easy enough (nearly dead centre wing), but Level N looks pre-reserved for the packages.

My story changed? Go back over my previous post in the thread. I was discussing letting my MIL use it. Now you are just looking silly.

What I wrote was true.

1. I'm not going.

2. I did jump on 'anyway' because I was undecided.

3. I was justifying my decision to get on there even though I didn't purchase. Not that I need to justify that to you, not sure why I bothered.

Sorry for being undecided. Stop being so precious.

I'm an AFL Silver member and want to give my ticket to a Doggies supporter (if I can manage to get one tomorrow). What are the chances of them checking / asking for ID at the Grand Final or worse, getting rejected?

From my reading on here and other forums, it's highly possible to get past them, but there are no guarantees. Based on that I felt it wasn't worth risking my membership. Others probably don't have an issue.

Geez, who called the gestapo to investigate? He can do what the heck he wants with his membership. He can log in on five browsers all taking up 8 minutes each and decide not to go.

Someone else mentioned it. Best chance seems like person needs to "be on their phone" on their way through turnstiles, and past any clipboard wielding checkers. Maybe make up some hokey story on to talk loudly on the way through "Is my son/brother/grandfather/mum in her seat? I got held up coming now" or some crap. I've used that before to get into other events or V-seated areas where I didn't even have a ticket. Works almost every time.

Think sometimes right at launch is worse because tonnes of people have tickets in their basket, meaning worse seats are 'available' early. Then baskets expire and the tickets become available later on.

I've got two tickets in afl members area. Preferably sell to someone in the western suburbs as that's where I live and to a male and female combination so that they can show my Membership and my mums membership. Pm with offers if interested. Good seats on level 1 close to the fence.
Anything above face value is against BigFooty rules and is also illegal.

Kindly **** off.

ive got SM18-AA Row hh. does anyone know what the S stands for and also the AA when my row is HH?
S stands for section, doesn't really mean anything, you are in M18.
Not 100% sure on the AA, but I think the front part of the section (rows A-Z) is called SM18 and then the undercover area from row AA to the back is called SM18-AA just as a way to differentiate the open air and undercover seats which are different prices in large parts of the stadium.

i was straight on at 2pm just picked level 1 open
Exactly 2pm?
Sounds a bit weird, was your internet running okay?

I clicked on the get ticket button on that front page at 2pm and maybe 2 seconds and the next screen said I hadn't entered my barcode, however on the front screen there hadn't been the usual spot to enter the barcode near the get ticket button. I went back a screen and refreshed and the box to enter the barcode appeared. I figured it was orginally missing because I had been sitting on that front page for 5 minutes without refreshing and they must have added the barcode box just before 2pm. Anyway, all this meant that it was probably 2pm and 20 seconds when I got in and selected M Open and it offered me M16. Maybe all of level 1 and 2 were gone at that point and I managed to jag M16 due to someone rejecting it and trying again?

exactly same as me... just found it weird how I only managed to get the level 4 nose bleeds and a few minutes after me people were saying they were still getting level 1 and 2.

anyway lucky to be going

I was on at 2:00 and 1 second and got P18, row D. My favourite level (P) and bay number (18) which is centre wing.

But them something went wrong. It said my card details were wrong. I couldn't go back and fix it until the "8 minute" clock (that indicates you have 8 minutes to buy your tickets) had expired. Even though I kept going into my "basket" area to try to complete my transaction, I was unable to do so. My card details are all saved in their system so there was nothing wrong with my card.

So I tried again at 2:08 and got Q14 row H and it worked. Still good seats, but really it's not good enough from ticketek.
Did you enter that 3 digit CCV code correctly?
I have my card details saved but it still makes me enter that number every time.

Maybe it has something to do with campaigners whose team played in the last 4 GFs openly bragging about their guaranteed ticket on the same forum that likely has Bulldogs AFL members who will miss out.

And maybe you should think about why someone who doesn't go for either team would make an issue of it a year after he got to see his team - it might cross your mind that perhaps you are being really friggen selfish.

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

Dude, a few facts for you to digest:

- Full AFL members pay an additional $150 or so each year, entitling them to subsidised and easy access to grand finals, as well as cheap access to preliminary finals.
- Full AFL members wait nearly ten years to get this privilege.

Why would you wait so long, and pay this amount, if you weren't going to use the privilege? Further, if club support Silver members were given priority over Full neutrals, there'd be a constant stream of bandwagoners picking up Silver membership for three or four years, then dropping it immediately when their team was no good. Full neutral members would then miss out, and throw their membership in, as they'd be paying, and paying extra, for nearly zero advantage.

Yes, we all think there should be more club members at the grand final. But there are far worthier targets - look at the handful of clubs who've very selfishly refused to trade their 1000 ticket allocation to the AFL, just so they can scalp the tickets for more than the AFL is offering (North Melbourne being the biggest culprit).

anyone know when you can pick your tickets up from an outlet? Guessing heading down at 10 isn't the best idea.

Outlet times are the same, and no preference is given. Highly unlikely to be Ticketek problems given how few silver members there are in comparison to their other large sales, so just go online.

I have my tickets. Just need to pick them up. Just wanted to know if you can do it from today or do they let you know when they are available?

Ah sorry. Pretty sure they're immediately available. But yeah, better to go tomorrow onwards.
