Discussion AFL - Social Media Graphic Design

I couldn't find any discussion on the board about graphic design regarding social media posts by the AFL and the teams. I know social media posts sometimes pop up in threads discussing bad design, but I think it would be nice to have a discussion about the different styles each team are going for.

I've collected the final score posts from each of the teams to compare.

Unlike the club websites, which are all pretty much identical now, their social media graphics are all super unique. Some are really well designed, which is a testament to the social media/design teams.

Personally, I really like Carlton and St Kilda, and I'm not really a fan of Fremantle, GWS or Hawthorn's. Discuss which ones you like and how you might improve some of the others.

FYI suns do post graphics for scores on facebook, they also post them on instagram but they're only stories.

The traditionalist in me prefers the 'full' scorelines, but the designer in me likes the clean look of the truncated scores

It's good to see some local clubs getting amongst coming up with their own creative instead of just a screenshot of the senior teams scores.

It is accurate - you just get a screen grab of the text, ideally in as high res as possible and put it through the font finder. Works 99% of the time, I use it all the time at work.

Wasn’t taking the piss, was a serious suggestion to make your life easier.

I actually don’t mind the Dockers style with the purple neon font. Probably cause I’m so used to it as I’m on their email list and have seen this style for so long now. Every time I see the neon purple I immediately think Dockers now.
