soooo, not having the watched that 'football show' & having had a cursory read of recent posts I can assume it added SFA to whats already know as far as the EFC is concerned, that being jack shit:confused:

pack of clowns

Yep, FC tonight basically rehashed everything that has already been said in the media.

Sir

You call it bullshit and then typical, this would make it seem youre a regular......but not a fan?
Typical from the little I've seen, plus from what I hear from Caro, Lyon and Barrett on radio.

Certain essendon posters seem to expect us to believe that 2+2=5

Reminds of that looney tunes cartoon where the Mice now hate cheese , the cat won't eat the mice , and the dog won't smash the cat into oblivion.

"It just don't add up !!"

ASADA have said that if the players are told by a doctor that it's legal and it's not, then the players can be cleared.
Your wrong there, and its quite possible that the doctor was not even present during some of these alleged injections, which were administered by(as he is known as), Dr Dank.. whom is not an actual doctor, and not even a qualified sports scientist..

Just bash your head against a wall for 60 minutes. It'll replicate the experience perfectly.

60 minutes of utter bullshit with not one new fact coming to light. Typical Classified.
I get the feeling that it wouldn't matter if the show was fact after fact, end to end, you'd not have heard one of them.

I'm not across it all because i was at work, but I have heard that a there was a radio interview (sen i think) which discussed the issue of the consent forms, and apparently the defense can fly, if players signed forms stating 'I agree and consent to the use of X' and were then given 'Y'

If that loophole is open, everyone doping would just have forms ready saying they thought it was something else that they were being injected with. No way that flies, even if it is the truth. Horrible situation really.

Was that FC episode really necessary? LOL we learnt nothing from it.

If you want to put the pieces together it's quite simple:

- Taken off site for injections
- Forced players to sign waiver to hold them accountable for any substances they are given
- ACC report outlining that a club has been identified as using peptides for soft tissue injury rehabilitation
- Dodgy sports scientists that have since been sacked and stood down
- CEO knows nothing about what the players at his own club were taking
- Reports that organised crime gangs aided them to obtain these substances
- Coach linked with convicted drug dealer
- Going to ASADA (you don't do that for Vitamin C and B)
- Incredibly suspicious injury toll (worst in AFL history by far in terms of soft tissue which is linked to the use of peptides)
- Reports that players were forced to take injections against their own will
- "Whatever it takes"

It will take a miracle for them to clear themselves from this. Not worth finishing 11th imo.

Your wrong there, and its quite possible that the doctor was not even present during some of these alleged injections, which were administered by(as he is known as), Dr Dank.. whom is not an actual doctor, and not even a qualified sports scientist..

If Dank injected the players himself, would he be up for criminal charges? Or are the players in any strife for accepting an injection from a person other than a doctor, but someone who works for the club? It's such a murky set of circumstances.

SO what is it again that Essendon have done wrong?

Reimers said nothing wrong.
Hird said nothing wrong.
Papers aren't saying anything wrong anymore. (except Hird trained with some guy in 2004)
Mcveigh said nothing wrong.
Just watched footy classified and they didn't say anything illegal has been done.
Doc Reid said nothing wrong.
Danks said nothing wrong.
Weapon said nothing wrong.

Big change from day 1 when we had waivers,
GHRP-6 and more accusations that have suddenly vanished.

Wait, so even after today, Essendon fans still believe everything will be all hunky dory? What is that river in Egypt called again?

Really? News to me. I thought the onus was purely on the athlete.

The onus is on the athlete. Strict liability.

You wont be cleared if your doctor accidentally or negligently gave you a prohibited substance and you (the athlete) were not aware of it.

The athlete is liable if a prohibited substance gets in his system, no matter how it get in his system.

You can sue the pants off your doctor however.

I don't think anyone could disagree with Caro when she said that those at Essendon who brought in Dank should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Absolutely right.

Was there no DD at all? Just take Thompson's word?

Hird is going to have to take charge. He's getting walked over down there

Rubbish. There's any number of stories and issues that never hit the press, and the media types sit on them for days, weeks and even months.

This blind faith among AFL fans that "no one knows anything bad about my club" is pathetic.
Exactly. People seem to have this ridiculous belief that everything that happens in a footy club stays in the footy club.

I for one, can speak from personal experience by saying that this simply doesn't happen. My family and myself know several people involved in AFL clubs and with players specifically. Things happen and word gets around straight away.
