Big thread, has this been discussed yet?
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/hird-evans-briefed-on-drug-20130211-2e8ys.html
ESSENDON president David Evans and coach James Hird received a presentation on the peptide AOD-9604, which is mentioned in the Australian Crime Commission report on drugs and organised crime in sport, by the product's Melbourne-based patent holder last year, it can be revealed.

Kind of shoots down that whole "We had no idea about any of this" story from Hird/Evans.

Did she say if there were questions they couldn't ask? Because she did miss some reasonably important ones.
In interviews like that - especially with the interviewee lawyered up there are usually 'ground rules' where certain areas are out of bounds for questions, nothing unusual in that - very standard in fact.

What about all the player's families, wives, kids, friends? If any of these people use medications that are banned by WADA this would be very suspicious!!!

We should therefore investigate every AFL player

Don't you think that it's quite a different thing for family members, as opposed to coaches and support staff charged with the responsibility of the players and ensuring that everything they take is in accordance with AFL and ASADA guidelines?

I found it interesting how Dank said that he had spoken to ASADA and they had said that he had done nothing wrong. If thats the case then why are Essendon being investigated? he was the one that implimented the programme so if it wasn't him and he has done nothing wrong, then Essendon were administering themselves, which is highly unlikely. Dank has a lot to answer for in my books, he has tarnished the Bombers forever and he should pay the price.
The pressure on James Hird is enormous and from what i here he is not coping at all. For some reason i just think that Hird did not know or understand what was being done, for me i just feel that Bomber Thompson has got a lot to do with all of this.

They 15 minutes airtime I think to work with. They had to also fit in the back story for everyone who didn't know what the whole case was about. So i'm making an "assumption" that a lot of questions that were asked didn't make it to air. May be the transcripts someone on here posted has more detail.

How do you know this?

Nothing has been proved yet ,until it has it's all speculation .Move on FFS if the Bombers or another club for that matter are found guilty and their playing list is suspended ,delisted ,deregistrered whatever, yeah then it is a big issue, but honestly i hope for the sake of the journalists there is some substance in all these accusations because at the moment they have nothing of fact to present and it's getting a bit tiresome.

Saw this on TalkingCarlton. :D

Wonder how Job's parent-teacher meeting went? Does Tim Watson still wipe his son's bum?
All the parents were invited mate, even Dustin Fletcher's father was there and they have every right to know how there son's will be effected from this investigation. Also until this other player is announced i wouldn't be to getting to cockey buddy

No, he was referring to ACC, not ASADA. ACC contacted him in September - coincidentally when he lost his job at Essendon.
