Will be gone within 12 months I would think. AFL can't afford the Suns to flounder - particularly with the NRL determined to make the Titans credible so they can sell them (see Jarryd Hayne being parachuted in). Cochrane is damaging their brand in numerous ways.

Maybe the Suns are doing this as a publicity stunt? Just their ego is too high to realize its actually doing negative damage. I would be crapping my pants if i was from anywhere but QLD entering the draft and GCS had shown some interest.

So we facilitate all trades and get our deals done without fuss. We have propped up the AFL community by providing numerous clubs with head coaches and excellent IP/talent. We have done all this, and yet the AFL/Media still try to kick us in the guts. No other club losing all this talent would be left to die like we are. They talk about equalisation, and we have gone through tough years to get where we are now, but we still are treated with insidious contempt.

We won't complain. We will go again. We will keep on keeping on whilst these little clubs take pot shots from the peanut gallery.

I actually dont think Tony comes across as that silly. As he stated "the Hawks have chosen a bad year to attempt to trade with us for draft picks".

There will be limited time left to bring any players in and that is if they can find any who want to go to the GC. The message to raiders (us) that if you want a player you better have the desired currency.

Now lets use pick 10 and put a price on his head and pray he gets to us in the draft. Not guaranteed but should be doable.

Now why on earth would that be? Could it be because the Gold Coast have been knocking back bids left and right?

Look at how quickly the T. Mitchell deal was completed as an example? Sydney told us what they wanted, we gave it to them. Granted the O'Meara deal would have involved some trading for draft picks but I'm pretty sure the hold up hasn't been at the Hawthorn end. As I said in an earlier post, Gold Coast wanted a player, noone from Hawthorn wanted to go so we tried to get them better picks that they could then on trade for players from other clubs who may have wanted to go there but they've just stood firm.

The reality is Hawthorn can't force players to go to a club if they don't want to, so at that point the ball is in the GCS court to take whatever Hawthorn's offer is (and pick 10 is fair, pick 10 + 48 is overs) and then trade with other clubs to try and get the players they want.

Cochrane has been a disgrace from the moment Omeara said he was off and his public comments about him being disloyal and his comments today about Hawthorn treating Omeara poorly is even worse.

Imagine being a 17 year old kid right now and knowing these clowns have all these early picks in the draft...Yikes.

If Prestia is worth pick 6 who is fully fit and being paid the same amount as Omeara then Omeara is worth pick 10.
