bit of hindsight, but say they take the 1st and 2nd (which i think it should have been)Our deal. I'm saying their expectations for Dunkley at the time were to high, they should've lowered them, taken our deal and in the long run they'd be better off.
Exactly what North have done here with JHF, which I believe they'd have done whether or not he had 1 or 3 years left on his contract.
Yeah what was our deal that we were offering, because what ever pick we had was going to have to get moved for a future anyway because they were getting JUH at 1Our deal. And we shouldn't have.bit of hindsight, but say they take the 1st and 2nd (which i think it should have been)
2nd would have added JUH points
1st could have been traded into this year & opens up ability to unlock Lobb and change.
But you roll the dice i guess. We did with Daniher.
It was one of our firsts plus a 2nd.Yeah what was our deal that we were offering

There’s heaps of difference but anyway.
The afl need to step in and make change, at the moment with this generation of kids the draft is broken. You can’t have so many flight risks in the top 20 where clubs don’t want to pick them and have to settle for inferior talented players.
So moreorless a f1 (they would’ve had to move the pick) and a 2ndIt was one of our firsts plus a 2nd.
The best friend or brother approach is what more clubs should look at. Gold Coast are bloody stupid if they are looking at drafting Ollie Hollands this year. But with their trading and recruiting it probably won’t cross their mind. Sydney drafted chad Warners brother last year, that’s now looking like a master stroke.Agree.
But until there is a change, the clubs need to be smart about it.
Take the local. Or take a best friend. Don't take wogs interstate, they're mamma's boys.
No.So moreorless a f1 (they would’ve had to move the pick) and a 2nd
Which is what they’ll probably get this year
i'd protest, but you're rightAgree.

No club is using a top 10 pick for points to match a pick 1, they would’ve traded it for a f1 and more points for JUH.No.
It was a top 10 pick + an early 2nd. It's worth more than a late future 1st and 2nd.
They didn't have to move it. They could've used it in the JUH deal and held onto most of the rest of their picks instead of having to trade everything for example.
Cool. So they could've turned it into a f1st + more. So the f1st + more + 2nd is more than they'll get this year.No club is using a top 10 pick for points to match a pick 1, they would’ve traded it for a f1 and more points for JUH.
i'd protest, but you're right![]()
40yo and i still wouldn't move away from the state
Yeh he would probably want out either way, but a 4 year contract gives the clubs more hand. That’s undeniable. Plus it gives clubs more control what 3rd and 4th or deals for top end draftees look like, instead of agents bending them over and asking for 400-500k for players who are often playing 2s.Cool. So they could've turned it into a f1st + more. So the f1st + more + 2nd is more than they'll get this year.
Regardless I'm clueless why you're hung up on the Dunkley trade now. My point simply was JHF was going to want out regardless of if it was a 2 year or 4 year contact and I don't think the Roos would've held him.
Fiorini doesn't look like happening for the Pies as they got too much on their plate
Wouldn't mind him and their 3rd for a F3 going back and us taking on his 600-700k
Longmire is a little old anyway…Setterfield is okay. Not as good as having a horse in the midfield, but still a big body.
From what I've seen 19 may have legitimately been floated. Some Hawthorn nuffty phoned in to trade radio suggesting Hawthorn would receive a first rounder for O’Meara.
Probably could be in delusional thread.

No idea why the Giants would do it but maybe not as delusional as it sounds.
I heard it mentioned Hawthorn would continue to pay his salary. Some Hawthorn nuffty phoned in to trade radio suggesting Hawthorn would receive a first rounder for O’Meara.

Lol, heard that. Some Hawthorn nuffty phoned in to trade radio suggesting Hawthorn would receive a first rounder for O’Meara.

Freo can't pay more than their current and a future 3rdGWS will offer 19 if he picks them, Freo won't pay that much.
