Pretty sure if someone opens up about it in a not so fond way it's kinda a sign that it wasn't according to plan/something they realised they needed help from.

To act as if they had some kind of a contageous disease would probably discourage more from being upfront about it.

Feel like instead people should focus more on being happy he didn't go through with it and allowing him to live on as normal. But eh. Moving on.
