The issue I have with Jones is the fact he has not shown he is a great mark on the lead or contested as a forward.
Good at floating in from the side or when he doesn’t have a KPD defending on the wing.

Jones can definitely be a part of a successful forward line but he can’t be the main forward. He struggles under the high ball. He has some elite role player traits though like his engine, tackling for someone his height, and pretty stable set shot for goal.

He won’t be our saviour but could definitely play a lot of senior football for Essendon.
