In an alternate reality, what if Big Gill's master plan for AFL X had taken the world by storm and achieved the ultimate goal of killing of the AFL's round ball foes? Not just in Australia though, but the entire planet, all of a sudden Qatari oil barons and Adult film industry magnates right around the world were lining up to get a piece of Australian Football.

Using the existing infrastructure of european soccer, the UEFA champions league would be where this new sporting revolution would take centre stage. With the biggest names in the round ball game getting involved, whilst the billion dollar megastars of the AFL like Dustin Martin, Patrick Dangerfield and
David '3 votes' Mackay are all in their off season. Welcome to AFL X!

Lets start out with last season's Champions League winners Real Madrid, lead by their skipper Sergio Ramos. As always with my folios, feedback and next team requests are always welcome!

my team Huddersfield Town
I might look to do requests after we've finished the UCL teams. (mainly because I've got a Norwich design that I'd like to post)

The next team up will be the surprise semi finalists and Ligue 1 champions from last season, AS Monaco. The kit uses the iconic diagonal design tied in with some stripes which hark back to the first ever kit for the club from the rich city state.

Well, this thread has been a real bummer so far, not getting the reception that my previous portfolios have. I assume my designs are looking a bit boring, I've got a few more designs that I like the look of but I think I'll have to go back to the drawing board on the designs that are basically conversions from soccer shirt to footy jumper, because it is obvious that they are just not good enough. Don't know how I'll solve the issue, but I've just gotta find a way. Anyone got some feedback?

I can't really fault it. I like how they're not straight up ripoffs of the original clubs. Presentation is top notch too.

Keep up the good work, fancyscum - I'm just silently loving this. Don't quit.
There are some teams I'm a bit worried about though just because their designs really write themselves, maybe I've just got to realise that not every design needs to be groundbreaking.

I tried to take a bit of an AFLW approach with the designs and give them a bit of a twist but there are some designs that just look good as footy jumpers on their own and so I've let them be. I've used this presentation for all my latest designs in one form or another, and initially this folio was meant to launch the updated template and presentation but I've got zero patience, so I wasn't waiting for the last ten teams to be announced :p

I'm completely into this series. But I think you should exaggerate more. Drop the Association Football Logos. They aren't required at all. Juventus one... Oh HOW MUCH I HATE THIS LOGO. Remove it, make the bull bigger. We're talking about teams with a lot of history, lots of identity tweaks over the time. Go outside the box. I think you are still too much bound by Association Football Limits.

I do think that the logos can get in the way on some of the designs, but I like the continuity that they provide as they tend to fit better on the breast than the sponsors, which tend to be suited to the gut, and the logo was a way of making them fit more seamlessly into the Aussie rules spot.
