Did anyone else think that the way Wall ran back after literally poleaxing the Brisbane player in the last quarter was very reminiscent of Arch stepping over Lenny Hayes all those years ago. It was the first thing that came to my mind. The sheer focus on the task at hand. Nothing was getting in her way.

It was the first thing that came to my mind. The sheer focus on the task at hand. Nothing was getting in her way.

There was a little bit of that in a moment when Erica was tackling a Brisbane player over the line, and it got a bit willing momentarily, but then it was like Rikki channelled Arch, turned her back on the Brisbane player, and got into position for the boundary throw in.

Our Irish women are hard as nails and willing to hurt but also super focused on the job at hand.
