Ahsoka's finale left Ahsoka and Sabine trapped on Peridea and in another galaxy, Ezra is going to be trying to find a way to bring them. I was impressed by the Ashoka's legacy lightsaber.Like the Mandalorian recent season, this just doesn’t hold my interest enough. The Anakin gimmick was really not enough for me, although the Thrawn character has some potential.
I hope Andor remains in its current state - it was superb.

Did you join an Australian football forum to spam lightsabers?
Scum and villainy.
Maybe they off Ahsoka (good?), interesting to end it given that this show is the first proper clean slate for Star Wars with its setting in a different galaxy.

More that it's somewhere that SHOULD make it impossible to have anything to do with the old setting.I wouldn't say it's a clean slate just because some of the scenes are somewhere we haven't seen before.
I get your other examples but how has Bond done this?I think it will be fine but I think companies are starting to realise that you can't just pump out material and expect fans to lap it up. This applies to Marvel, it has applied to Star Trek, Bond etc. Known IP seemed like a safe bet in the brave new world of streaming but there's limits to everything.
Fair. I was conflating two ideas, pumping out material and having down periods. Star Wars and Star Trek have had both, Bond has had down periods where the character has been less popular and come back, but not because it pumped out material. I'm still confident Star Wars will have a renaissance.I get your other examples but how has Bond done this?
Yeah Disney SW is so dysfunctional at this point the best thing they can do is sit on their hands.I think the gap in films is the biggest favour star wars is doing unintentionally to itself.
I just hope whatever they do is a satisfying end to Ahsoka's character.
Doubtful she's still alive by Ep 9 but I guess if she is then Rey could just grab another missing puzzle piece of a map in her new movie and find a reclusive Jedi.
They really need to stop saying 'this is the last Jedi' only to walk it back and go 'wait, there was another, just kidding, every show needs to be set in this narrow timeline but still have a laser sword'.Ahsoka was one of the Jedi voices heard in that final battle in episode 9, I believe it’s almost certain that she’s a force ghost by that point in the timeline.

I'm not a hater at all, but they badly need to reboot the entire division.
Rey's not popular. People just like Daisy Ridley in spite of Rey.Then a Rey movie should have them back again as I think despite the mixed reaction to the sequels, she is largely a popular character.
Filoni’s film should be first in line to go to Disney Plus. It’s an extension of TV series with increasingly diminishing returns. Donald Glover is a big name with credits in the bank, if anyone can get it over the line in cinemas, he can. That said, it’s a legacy character and maybe they should stay on the small screen while new ideas go on the big screen. Think they should give TV a break after the Filoni film as well. For movies it should be Mando May 26, Rey standalone Dec 27, Filoni movie May 28, Mangold origin film Dec 29.
Put the brakes on everything else and see how they go first. Can’t really go wrong with Mandoverse and Rey and if they do, that’s the beauty of Mangold’s film, it’s a reset.
They could stay on that timeline if they somehow fail. And if that fails, you get the best director and writer you can and do Kotor trilogy and leave the OT/ST era behind.
Announcing a new trilogy by Kinberg is not a great move imo.
Forgot about Lando film. I think they should just put that one on Disney + like JackOutback has suggested . And maybe Filoni’s too if the Mando film fails which I doubt
