Except that there are no latest stories in the news about a plane crash "near the beach". The link I gave was the most relevant one. Dogwatcher thought the crash happened near the beach, not so.

Thanks thrawn, I was in an alcoholic fugue when I wrote that early this morning. I was listening to the radio and it was mentioned - the announcer must have got their wires crossed a little.

On the news here. An FA18 Hornet crashed. Over ran the runway at Pearce.

Its off some American Aircraft carrier. Hope its pilot don't over run that runway.

I would have thought that them landing in the ocean, would be preferrable to having them crashing on land, where there is chance of them hitting houses & civilians.
