Are you stupid... Oh hang on you're from Darwin. Say hi to you mum for me or as you refer to her...my older sister

Mate, what is that post about? That is really out of line, the post wasn't even referring to you. Get the F out if your just going to throw unwarranted abuse about the place.

TBH I kind of remember him saying he didnt want to do the handstand out of respect. He probably did it either because he got frustrated with the bumps and the booing (that crazy dude with the acker doll and the noose) or out of sheer respect. Or i'm completely dreaming

Didn't watch the game but seems to be a lot said about the guy with the Aker doll (which was pretty pathetic IMO) on bigfooty but your kidding if your telling me Aker would be frustrated with physical attention or booing. I'm amazed at the big deal made about this match and how it is different than any other. It's happened to him his whole career and we've all seen what he has done (although perhaps not so much at the Doggies).

Apologies to the Brisbane board about GoalSneak38, i have NFI what is going on in relation to mothers etc. But yeah, everyone saw the handstand coming, whether you were cheering or booing, it doesn't matter, as those that paid $$$ for tickets/memberships are entitled to do as they please.

Though the Aker doll/rope was a little over board.

Every time Aka did a handstand last year Brisbane fans were happy as larry, now its boo hoo, so now you know what its like to be in the shoes of the other teams who have to watch it.
I think this is a completly different thing. I had no problem with Aka doing his handstand as a Brisbane player and I'm sure Brisbane supporters would have no problem with it if he'd been a Bulldogs player all his career. BUT, now that he's played for Brisbane and done the handstand his whole career Brisbane supporters may consider it a dig at them that he did it in different colours at their stadium. Sort of like a "Nyer nyer nyer nyer nyer" thing.

That's just my take on it.

You're a charming homo sapien aren't you? Read the board guidleines - unprovoked abuse from opposition supporters is not on.

Don't come back thanks.

Because of the shitty way he chose to leave. If he had gone to Leigh Matthews or the board and said "I've done all I can, I'd like to go to another club" he might have got some respect. But to continually sell stories to the papers after being asked / told not to is just gutless and he deserves all the crap being thrown his way from the Sunshine State. He used to be my favourite player but he lost all respect after doing what he did. It's very sad, because in he did deserve better but chose to ram it back down the throats of those that used to idolise him. Not to mention pay his wages.
deadset champ. Not sure he was treated that well by the club.

good to see the gabba crowd getting involved alot

lucky he decided to do it in the middle not close to any supporters becuase if he had done that i would imagine there would have been bottles flying everywhere

I'm not sure that David Neitz doesn't torture small animals in his basement.

Amazing what things you can come up with when you have no idea, isn't it stickman?

"And do we get the handstand?" Voss
"You betcha" Akermanis
Voss smiles and laughs.
"Alright mate I'll let you go" Voss

That was at the end of the interview Voss did with Akermanis after the game, it may seem a mute point but it didn't appear that Voss had a problem with Aka doing the handstand but rather the opposite. And he would have been one of the people who voted Aka out.

Considering he looked genuine in clapping to all areas of the field before he did it I cant see the problem.

Looked like Brisbane appreciation to me.
It was, FoxSports showed a few interviews done with him during the week and in all of them he said the great respect he had for Brisbane and how great the people have been during the week, and how if he had to do last year over again he wouldn't do the same thing.

I think too many people have their panties in a knot over this and really need to move on.

Voss has mentioned that him and Aker are fine now and they're mates. After coming to Melbourne, he and Aker caught up and I think he mentioned they both realised their mistakes or something along those lines.

You guys would of found it a lot tougher to win your 3 flags had you not had Aka, and yet you all crucify him? Boo him? Oh Well, your loss!

I think you'll find that only a small proportion of Brisbane supporters actually boo and still hate him. Most are completely over it and are glad that he and both club have moved on.

He took potshots at club and coach.

An internet message coming from his email address called Leigh Matthews a "f***wit."

His behavior over the last year reduced his value and therefore likely affected the trade we received for him.

When he retires, I am sure he will be appreciated to a degree by all Brisbane supporters, but while he players for another team, you can't blame some supporters for feeling some resentment.

And until your supporters stop booing Nathan Brown (and I saw some pretty vile comments by your fellow brethren when he broke his leg), you are merely riding the express train to Hypocrite City when you make these sort of statements.

I hate to interrupt your memories for a moment but that was last year, this is this year.

I hate to respond to your insultingly condescending response, but to offset the chance of you completely misinterpreting another one of my posts, I have little choice.

I was merely responding to Bulldogrobs implication that Brisbane supporters have no reasons to hold any resentment towards him. I gave him some reasons. I am not saying that I am still bitter about these issues, but rather that these issues do exist.

But since you are so willing to focus on this year Tezmyster, and not the past, are you also saying that the three premierships that Aker helped deliver us in the past should not be factored into his legacy as well?

Oh please, I usually just sit and read the forums and hold a lot of respect for you but now you're just being stupid. My point was that the incidents regarding Akermanis were last year, players like Voss have managed to move on maybe it's time the supporters did as well.

Personally I hold a lot of respect for Aka, the 3 premierships he helped deliver and his brownlow. I have a framed piccy of him in Brisbane colours that still hangs on my wall and isn't going to move even if he manages to change teams again. He was one of the great Brisbane players and no matter what happened off the field last year that isn't going to change.

Some supporters have, some supporters haven't.

Who are we to judge?

Thanks for calling me stupid btw, appreciate it.
