Yes... evidently the entire list has spat the dummy and told Mick they won't be having a red hot go this year until they get the Las Vegas end of year trip with free passes to see Wayne Newton

About time we started up the VSR (very-silly rumours) list again. So far this year:

1) Eddie to run for parliament.
2) Pendles has done his knee.
3) Dids not trying.

I'm sure there have been a few others as well.

What's the incentive for didak to be trying his hardest at the moment?wait till the season proper begins, the guy is coming off an injiry and he wants to be 100% before going at full bore.Besides even Didak's worst performance is still a lot better than a lot of players best performances.Dids will be a gun elite midfielder this year, and he'll rip a new hole against all the other teams, can't wait to see diddy take the other teams apart this year.

God some of you guys can be arseh*le sometimes. :p The thread starter was obviously just worried and wanted to be reassured that Dids is having a red hot go.

Can anyone actually confirm his training attitude. In my opinion he looks very motivated. :D

I was surprised to see the OP, because I've heard that Didak is out for blood this year, and is just about ready to spill his own all over the MCG if that's what it takes to win, week in, week out. And he's still being very well behaved by all accounts.:)

lol... dids was in our best against geelongs reserves...

if he wasn't having a red hot go, i doubt he would got much of the ball(fair enough we won by 150points and even i would have had a couple of touches)...
Now if we can convince all AFL teams to play at the Geelong resi's level, we'll be golden!

I can understand the poster was worried but rumours are rumours ..... and really when you think about it why would Dids be going through the "motions"? Apart from the fact Collingwood gave him a get out of jail free card and he has promised to give up the booze for 1.5 seasons Alan is a professional just like any other AFL player whether it be at training, practice matches or for full points.

If you're talking about training, from the times I have been I have never ever seen a bloke that looked like they were going through the "motions". Could you imagine the spray if MM thought one of his blokes was taking the piss when training? Frantelle would hear it from WA! :p

I heard Collingwood were holding an open practice match on Platform 8 at Richmond Station. The reason behind this move is that no one catches the Glen Waverly line anyway.

Alan is currently at a point in life where has to make a decision whether he wants to continue his footy career or follow his lifelong ambition to play for the Socceroos at the 2010 World cup.
Lets hope for our sakes he makes the right choice.

Get on Didak for the Brownlow. He's our best player, we hope to have a good year and he's an eye catcher. The media have forgotten about his actual football ability.

i only asked corz a few different ppl mentioned it to me
again its hard for me to find out from wa
and i no at one point in their career every player goes through some doubt in their mind as to wat they should be doing with their life. keeping in mind he has also been at teh club for quite a few years as well

No probs. Don't let people wind you up though. Alan is a Collingwood man through and through. :thumbsu: According to Eddie he was basically sacked last year after his boozey night out and he had to convince everyone why he wanted to stay eg hence the no drinking thing for 1.5 seasons. Alan's performance in the finals series is vindication he wanted to stay and why we wanted him to stay. :) He's a class act on the field (besides the odd stupid free kick or 50metre give away) and MarkT's call for putting a quid on Alan for the Brownlow aint a bad thought at all.

Reading some stats the other day on knee recos and statistics (yeah I know) indicate that most players don't play at their best in the 3 years after a reco. Imagine what AD will be like in 2 years if his red hot finals series last year is anything to go by.

Anthony Rocca is getting married to Peter Daicos, they are already talking sex changes and children.

Fabulous! Might get some Megan Gale-like fashion shots at the next Brownlow for the Roccademption buddy thread. :) It's been so drab just featuring men all the time.......
