OK, here's how the players got numbers. Macca is captain, number 1 is obvious. Everyone that participated in the PAFCBB Buddy Draft got allocated their buddy's number, where possible. Then the rest I just assigned on whim. If you want to change to an unoccupied number, just post it here and I'll fix it (no higher than #50, thanks), but if you want to shift to someone else's you'll need to negotiate it with them.

We haven't had a fixture released yet, but the first game has been announced - we're to take on the Fighting Furies (Richmond wannabes) in a couple of weeks and obviously will win convincingly.

Go Swampies!

Trust us to be taking on Richmond. In true Port fashion we'll drop the first two and they'll win their first 5.

AS the club song of the Alberton Swamprats blared across Alberton Oval after the final siren, one man was especially proud as he celebrated the win over the Fighting Furies with his team mates.

Dyertribe, finally making his debut for the Swamprats following a prolonged yet non-existent battle for his services in the summer, came on at the 15 minute mark of the first quarter following a suspected hamstring injury to dreamkillers.

6 possessions, 2 marks and a vital opening goal later, dyertribe was left to reflect on an impressive SFA debut.

"It's just awesome mate - I'm over the moon. I wasn't even expecting a run, but when killer went off I just went out and tried to do my best. To get the win was amazing after such a slow start - getting a few touches and a goal myself is just a bonus," dyertribe said.

"We looked well down and out at one stage, but we all pulled together to snatch it in the end - Groove and Kaysee stood up to be counted when it mattered and we got the four points."

When queried about his well known dual loyalties he said, "Yeah, no, home is where the heart is and it's a thrill to pull on the Swampies guernsey - and playing with the likes of Macca19, _espoir, Porthos, it's just a dream come true."

yes yes i know DT is "over the moon" in his return to Alberton!

Surely he'll have a place in the side next coming game.

Bresh's form in the ressies is good enough to warrant a spot in next week's team, IMO. Call him... Officer Bresh.
