I think it’s no coincidence that Fas was an important player for us when we were a struggling side.

We have just had our best season for 5 years and missed out on a premiership by less than a goal and Fas wasn’t best 22.

He’ll kick goals for Carlton just as he did for us in prior years and he will be congratulated. However, in a team contending, he wouldn’t get a game because he just doesn’t work hard enough for the team and play the role asked of him by his coach.

hopefully with this andrew russell guy we got from hfc can really turn most of our players around mentally and physically especially fas, by all reports he's the best in the business.
.....hopefully not but Ok....lol, although beating Carlton in a Grand Final has appeal too.

My daughter once saw Fasolo walking down StKikda one afternoon / he was wearing no top and she said he was just showing off saying look at me look at me. She is a true pies supporter but thought he was a @$&ker. He should fit in well at the Blues. I will remember your last game 0.5 points. I don’t wish you luck as you have gone to the enemy.

How does one stay a member of a site for 7-8 years but only make 2 posts?

Intriguing stuff.

Sad to see him leave, but probably the best for both parties. I think where it all went wrong for Fas is when he did his navicular in 2013, which at that point became injury prone and got depression, which got worse and worse until the last couple of years. I do believe that if he can get his head and his body right he could be a good player for the right team. Unfortunately he just doesn't fit our playstyle anymore; he's not fast enough and doesn't apply enough forward pressure. Tbh, I don't even know if Elliott can get back into the side now, since he hasn't got the same legspeed as Stephenson, WHE and the like (although, he was a tackling machine earlier in his career, so that could save him I guess). But back to Fas, he just needs to get his head and his body right, and with a fresh start at a new club he may finally be able to rid himself of all that depression that he's had to deal with at the pies. I wish him the best, except against us of course.

I'm a bit disappointed that The Prince of Perth didn't introduce himself in the club video with "The Prince is glad to be at Carlton" - that aside, I wish him well. Fazzy Boy likes himself a bit but he's a good guy and I don't begrudge him the chance to have a second go at it. He was right up there in my favourite players for a while there.

Like most, I wish him well. He's a likable character and although it was not going to happen with us, he deserves another shot. He's too talented to be on the scrapheap. (Although, you could argue thats where he has landed)

I'm disappointed we weren't able to negotiate a trade for him back to Freo as part of a deal for Ed Langdon but never mind, that needed to be done last year not this year.

Fas generally lost his FF spot to JDG and Stevo.

I think Fas could be dangerous in the Blues forward line next to McGovern and Curnow. Hopefully not against the pies though.
