IMDB ratings are garbage, RT are much more representative of public opinion imho.

Anything above 7 is a good score. It rated better than some of the other movies from last year that were very watchable. Longlegs 6.7. Civil War 7.0. Twisters 6.5. The First Omen 6.5.

Yeah I thought 7.1 was fair. I'd probably rate it somewhere around that. Maybe 7.5.

8 and above is getting into the top tier of movies.

Finally watched this in D+ yesterday. It wasn't a bad popcorn horror flick. It followed the usual beats of an Alien film with some nice tie-ins from Prometheus. Even though there were some cool parts, I felt I had seen it all before. 6/10 (Above Average)

I think the only bit that let it down for me was when they were in the lift shaft and the Alien didn't kill her because.. plot.

I did love the hybrid creature though.

Probably, just in that moment it felt very convenient after we'd just had a dozen of them launch at her to kill.
