Yeah I'd nominate Chapman, Watson, Goddard and Hooker from Essendon off their first up performances.

Rioli had a cracker on Friday, Gibson and Burgoyne as well.

Nick Riewoldt without a doubt.

Can't really give much more than that this early on.

Ablett out for now, had zero influence against Freo, lucky if he hit a single target by foot. Shuey was hardly great last week while Rioli didn't even play, neither should be in there.

Hooker has been the best performed Essendon player to date. Watson, Goddard and Chapman all in the running.

From a Hawthorn perspective, I don't think Rioli or Suckling should be in there.

Murphy started off they year very well averaging 26 disposals, more importantly though he's had 5 tackles a game. If he brings back his goalkicking I'd imagine he'd be very close to a starter this year now that he's fit.

Probably Watson for mine. Pendlebury gave Crowley a couple of goals (including one in the goalsquare) and a couple of times our runners breezed past Pendlebury and he didn't really chase.
