This is Australia in the 21st century and this c*** and that filthy dog Bronwyn Bishop are basically suggesting that those with depression should do what they were told to do in the 50's and 60's and just "shut up and get on with it".

What's the bet that the next thing this odious piece of shit suggests, is that people with depression should have 60'and 70' style electric shock therapy to fix 'em up? Why don't we just put down people with bad backs? That'll save the state a lot of doe and create a new leisure industry where people can go and watch these people being executed. Hey, how about we feed them to the lions?? We could put temporary barriers around the turf at the MCG and throw in all your gays, and bad backed people, your depressed weaklings and then release the lions! A close family member is on the disability pension and she waits with trepidation each weekday for the arrival of 'the letter' from the Turnball Government telling her she's to be ''re-assessed'.
Gillard kicked absolutely no-one off the disability pension. She changed the eligibility rules for new applicants and intrduced mutual obligations for those under 35.
Abbott decided to re-evaluate everyone under 35. Turnball has gone a step further and is re-assessing 90,000 people a year with the aim to boot over %20 to newstart.
It may be sexy to lay the boots into Mr Abbott, but if you're going to have a go at him, have a go at him for putting thousands of Australians into mental anguish over punitive welfare cutting measures.
Here's a memo to you, if you're genuinely interested in disabilities or mental health, read up on what's happening in this field instead of taking misinformed cheap shots at pollies.
There's enough ammunition out there to lay waste to the liberals re disabilities policy if you so choose.
