Shaun Burgoyne played in both Port’s biggest win and Hawthorn’s biggest win

Played in Power biggest win (117 v Hawks).

Played in Hawks biggest win (165 v Power).
Another coincidence in that
Hawthorn’s biggest win is against Port
Port’s biggest win is against Hawthorn

Another coincidence is that both of those games are the last time both teams lost by 100 points

Round 16 2021, Sydney vs. West Coast: It's Josh Kennedy vs Josh Kennedy and both Josh Kennedy's are playing their 273rd game

'playing' is a generous word given the effort from West Coast today.

The WAFL ladder after all sides have played 10 matches is currently a mirror image as follows:

Claremont Tigers 8-2
Subiaco Lions 7-3
South Fremantle Bulldogs 7-3
West Perth Falcons 6-4
Swan Districts Swans 6-4
East Fremantle Sharks 4-6
Perth Demons 4-6
Peel Thunder 3-7
East Perth Royals 3-7
West Coast Eagles 2-8
David King likes this. A whole heap of genuine 50:50 contests.

Carlton won the premiership in 1979 and then made it back to back flags in 1981-82.
Blues were 7-8 after 15 games in 1983.

Tigers won in 2017, went back to back in 2019-20 and are now 7-8 after 15 games.
Yes, I thought Richmond run over earlier in season when they had a good win over Dogs and the goal run against Dons a few weeks ago. It like the last hurrah before your period of being number one comes to the end in a period. In 1983 our best football was still the best but we did not do it consistently so ended up just scrapping into finals and a few injuries and suspensions at end was just enough to finish that era off via an early exist in first week of finals.
But round 20 and 21 of that season probably the best football entertainment I ever seen at a game live. Bosustow suspended in his last game v North and never to play again for us.

1984 we still made finals but were going backwards. 1985 still made finals but nothing special.
86 re-set with last open market recruiting spree before the league went all salary cap and draft direction recruiting and open market era over.

They’ve been 3 games which finished with a score of 70-44. All have been won by Geelong.

R10 1952: Geel 10.10.70 d Haw 6.8.44
R07 1958: Geel 9.16.70 d St K 6.8.44
R17 2021: Geel 10.10.70 d Carl 5.14.44
And in each of those years an Australian has won the Wimbledon title

This week Shaun Burgoyne will play his 403rd game - equal third on the all time games record list with Kevin Bartlett.

If Hawthorn draws the game - he will also have the same number of wins, losses and draws as Kevin Bartlett (260-139-4)
