When Essendon beat Carlton in the 1993 Grand Final, they had nine more scoring shots (33 shots to 24)
The very next time they met, in 1994 round 9, Carlton had nine more scoring shots (27 shots to 18)
The next final Essendon played Carlton in was the 1999 Preliminary Final. The scoring shots in that game were exactly, the same amount as the 1993 Grand Final (33 to 24 in Essendon's favour)
The next time the two teams met, in 2000 round 5, Essendon, again, had 33 shots to 24.
