Andrew Lovett - looking to be traded

Pick 9?! Bit much.

If we're going after an outside mid, i'd rather it be Pearce. Younger and as good/better than Lovett.

I do agree that pick 9 is a bit much, but I think that his speed and line breaking pace could be the difference of winning and not winning another flag! He has great kicking skills that Roughie and Buddy would love.

For us to get him, I think we would have to pay a little more to gain him. Chances are we probably wont get Lovett, but I really do think he would compliment our team big time!

Rioli, Bateman, Lovett and Young in the midfield and all of a sudden our midfield looks quite quick!

Don't know about Lovett but I would go after Spangher in a heart beat; will be a very good player imo.

If we can somehow get Gibson or Spangher + Sandilands + Pearce; without giving up to much we will be laughing next year.

Lovett is a talented player but pick 9 is WAY too much for him. At best he would be worth a 2nd round pick. But I don't think we should recruit him as he has too much baggage.

Lovett would be great to add to our depth but doesn't fit a great need we have and so I wouldn't give up pick 9 for him. That needs to be kept for a key defender.

No way!

I mean we'll take him for free, but there's no way we would give the scum anything that would benefit them!

Hawks shopping list

Stong bodied backman Gibson: tick
Fast midfielder Lovett: get it done
A grade ruckman Sandilands: get it done

Pick 25 and Dowler to the Roos otherwise we pick up Gibson in the PSD.
Tuck and and third rounder to the Bombers.
Pick 9 and Morton to the Dockers for Sandilands.

We need to fill holes.

He is a great fit. Not worth Pick 9 alone, but maybe an exchange of picks.
Yeah we know.

Looking at our list at the moment I can see Tuck, if he wanted this to happen, getting a regular spot in the midfield and do what Shane Crawford used to do. Tuck's got pace and skill. His weakness is that he needs to do some more gym work as he's too light and gets injured and caught behind too easily.

I don't believe that the hawks would consider a guy who spends time getting himself reported all the time.

Would prefer S.Burgoyne but would still have Lovett but not for more than pick 25.

S.Burgoyne has had further knee surgery yesterday that has revealed bits of ligament floating all over the place in the knee, not worth the risk.

Why do Dowler and Thorp's names keep getting brought up as a part of pick/player package deals? I am stumped by the continual reference to these blokes being put up for trade when there will be virtually no draft for the next 5 years and the potential of these 2 is enormous!

Pick 25 and Dowler for Gibson? That is madness for a bloke that was an elevated rookie!!
