News Announcement Tomorrow From NT

This was just tweeted by the club:
Brendon Gale has taken off to the Northern Territory tonight for an announcement tomorrow....I wonder why
It will be a good news story, not player related!

Anyone have any more details. Could it be a sponsorship announcement, Hawks sponsored by Tassie, Tigers by the Territory

Surely there's already some form of relationship with NT and the Indigenous Centre.

I know Joel Bowden was keen to assist in that part of the world.

But yeah, dunno. Tiger members fly to the Darwin game free with new massive sponsor Tiger Airways??

Wouldn't mind the Tiger Airways one as it would allow me to get to another game, but unlikely.

You wouldn't get there on Tiger.
Yes you can. just have to be prepared to fly at 8.15 at night and then arrive in Darwin at midnight.

I hope it's nothing to do with troy taylor, frankly i'm starting to get sick of these home sick Indigenous players..

Frankly I'm starting to get really sick of this ^
Don't see what the big deal with him being home anyway.
Just get some bloody perspective, it's a game ffs, family is always more important.

nah i think in regards to both LuxBet and Dick Smith, both are staying on as partners but are both downgrading their level of sponsorship. Hence our quest to find new major sponsors.

That was what was said on the RFC website some 2 months ago

The problem is these types of half hearted footballers should never play the game at the highest level if they are homesick and constantly change their minds whether they want to to play AFL or go home to be with family. This is the fourth indigenous player from the NT we've had that's either homesick or has issues of some sorts...ex: Marty Mcrath,Carl Peterson,Relton Roberts, now Troy Taylor and even Tambling was getting itchy feet when he first started. So are you seeing a pattern here?...Most Kids from Victoria would give a arm and a leg to play the game at the highest level, I know I rather take a kid fron Victoria who's heart is in it.

Hislop was off the rails. That's an issue.
Schulz cost us the TAC sponsorship drink driving. That's an issue.
Alex Gilmour was too busy focussing on the gallops to get his shit together. Another issue.
I'm sure you get the point.

And to say players with issues don't have their heart set on being a footballer is completely ignorant, what they don't realise is the commitment needed to play AFL when as people, they simply have other priorities that go beyond the realms of football. They shouldn't be blamed for that in all circumstances.

Exactly the point I was making spoilt brats shouldn't be playing at the highest level if their commitment level isn't 100 per cent, not knowing how hard it was going to be to make it as a afl footballer is a cop out as far as I'm concerned. There are plenty of kids willing to give 110 per cent commitment to their footy careers and that's the sort of kids I want to play for us.
