For those of you who may not be familiar with it, it is some of the better quality music television on offer,I'm not too sure if it's an original concept with the idea of having multiple bands on different stages around the studio but I give the creators props for the idea. I'm sure a poster who's a little less technologically inept than myself will have the youtube vids up, last night's ep on max wasn't too bad the petshop boys and cornershop put up some fairly solid offerings however the set from the doves who tbh before last night I had never heard of was absolutely brilliant :thumbsu::thumbsu: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=CRODW8Vh-MQ< for those who may be in the same boat as myself ;)
Also sets from india arie and uk hip hop act so solid crew which weren't too bad either. Deffinately worth checking out if you are yet to see it but for those posters who have discuss here

Yeah I usually give it a viewing if its on. Have seen some great performances from bands that I hadnt either heard about or previously liked that much.

Should have something like it in Aus on free to air TV.

Would be a good idea to have it on FTA tv or even an aus version on fox. Watching The Doves set last night made me think 'shit I can't believe I have never heard of these guys!' it's a fairly solid viewing I think and it caters to all tastes aswell some of the artists that have been featured on LWJH: Manic Street Preachers, Richard Ashcroft, The Who, Metallica, Goldfrapp, The Verve, India Arie, Primal Scream, The Killers, Flaming Lips, Bloc Party, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, White Stripes, Jesus And Mary Chain etc. It's quality music telly which is a rarety nowadays. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Sigur Ros performing Hoppipolla on Later...

One of the best videos of any band I have ever seen. Just beautiful. If you've never heard of this band, watch this video (preferably after a spliff or two).

if im flicking around i'll usually check it out.

standouts were Foals and Bon Iver, saw that sigur ros one too.

Despite the host having one of the most irritating voices of all time I will usually watch this show when I remember it's on. Have seen some quality performances on there including the Cribs, Klaxons and Foals.

Not sure if you guys have seen 'The Lair' on MTV but that is about as close as Aus has to this show. :thumbsu:

Certainly have heard of sigur ros, one of the most talented acts I've ever come across, my misus actually saw them live last time they were in aus and said the stage show they put on is one of the best you will ever see and I think there performance on LWJH summed it up perfectly, though I can't remember if they did saeglopur in that set aswell so I'll be checking up on that one. :thumbsu:

A friend who had recently moved from England lent me a DVD of one of the best of a while back. I have managed to buy a couple recently and it they are quality.

Is it on free to air in Australia because I have never seen it on tele.

Great show.

I saw Jools Holland last year at a live recording of a radio show here in Perth and he was great. Very entertaining.

I got a few of the DVD's from the show, loved watching it when I had Foxtel. Hopefully getting it back soon. One of my favourite performances... The Verve with Lucky Man

Don't have any Pay TV, but I've seen a few episodes and they have been pretty enjoyable.

Cool stuff, but I'm not sure that kind of format suits them all that much. If you haven't already, check out their U.F.O.s At The Zoo live DVD to see them at their best.

As for Sigur Ros, they are always sensational live. From my perspective, Untitled 8 (Popplagið) would definitely rate right up there as one of the most sonically breathtaking experiences in live music.

Top show that I never tune into (although it's on all the time anyway). I'm befuddled that there's a show on a pay tv music channel that features top quality music. It's awesome how he gets legends and the best new music on at the same time.
