Anyone watch Jack Irish?

How sweet was the end of Jack Irish (ABC TV 21/10/2012)? Brought a tear to an old Royboys eye. Also I haven't seen any posts here about Fitzroy Football Club's achievement this year. Runners-up in VAFA C Grade, means B Grade next year. With the team we have, and especially the dedicated coaching staff we have, this is an opportunity in the next couple of years to launch ourselves into the A Grade. With a bit of wise diplomacy the Lions and the 'Roys have a real opportunity of establishing a truly two city team. We can build a special community...Go Lions!

Going by your whopping 2 posts in 3 years, you appear to be the type who would have inside-out knowledge of the board and its content. A quick glance at first page of threads doesn't necessarily mean no one has spoken about the club's achievements this year. Look a little harder and you might find some thoughtful discussion about the club, maybe even a thread or two dedicated to the VAFA success...

Listen mate, you're actually an example of why there have only been 2 posts from me in all the time I've been a member. You're really only interested in comments from people who are prepared to linguistically investigate the things you're interested in, from the bottom up, so to speak. I'm interested in the club, its potential and what the future might hold. From Fitzroy (yes I still live in Fitzroy) its hard to know what is happening with the club (remote as it is, although I notice you post from Geelong) and this bulletin board is about as illuminating as a pea-soup fog. I grew up barracking for Fitzroy, members of my family played for the club with distinction. I made the transition, I don't feel that I have to justify my continuing support for my team and I most certainly don't think that I have to grandstand on social media to prove my credentials. In other words I don't think everyone or anyone really needs to know or wants to know what I think. Felicitations
