I am so pissed off at the final margin, they were better then us but 30 points does not ****ing do the boys justice. Absolutely gutted at how they ran out the final 5 minutes after showing so much spirit and courage throughout...

F*cken 30 points..
Still the Dons did really well toay, hardly showed up in the 1st quarterbut really challenged against the Pies... And 2 of our best players have only played 5 games.
Things are looking pretty good for us this year - we'll be much more competitive next time we play them!

Absolutely stoked with our effort today. I've been holding off saying it, but Heppell is a gun.
Stanton disappointing.
Hocking was just awesome.

Last year or the year before I lamented how Geelong seemed to smash us at every contest physically. We looked like rag dolls. That has now changed and it's awesome to watch.

Hardingham was terrific.
Crameri, wow.

We'll figure in September, and I hope for a rematch.

Somethings gotta be done with McVeigh. He's past his best, coughs the ball up under pressure.

It's like driving a VS Commodore when you can buy a VZ.

Ryder needs a run in the twos to remind him he has to earn his spot in the side week in week out.

Thankfully we showed we're a contender this season and not to be disrespected.

I wholeheartedly endorse this post.:thumbsu:

No mention of Melksham?

Is is because he is young?

Just more precise going forward, especially at important times. I found that the only difference. That stood out in the first qtr when you had it in the 50 more times for nothing on the board. In the end that was the difference.

The 30pt margin sucked. So non-reflective of what was one of the best games of the year so far.

Great game. Pendlebury is a freak. How can no one get near him?

Crameri was great as was Hocking. Hardingham and heppell were pretty good as well.

Very poor games from Hurley, Ryder & Jetta. Oh and Stanton....

Top effort from the dons, especially after last year.

Really well played Bombers! I was barracking for you all so hard.. You gave a really good challenge and will definetly be a red hot chance for the flag.

Also, isn't Heppell some player? Geez he was good. I personally thought he deserved the medal but hey, it is against Collingwood so naturally Pendlebury was always going to get it..

we need some power forwards....

If we had cloke in our forward line would have been a different game.

Thats what gumby should have been..

Great effort. Pity about the tail off.

Loved seeing Crameri give harry a bath.

Absolute scragging cheat.

Jetta?? really...

And ryder wasn't great but pretty hard to take a mark when you get tunnelled or have your arms hung onto.

San take lots of positives out of that game, but some negatives too. The opening quarter was terrible and some of the decision making under pressure was very poor. 1 goal 7 behinds to start also made it hard to come back (although the goal kicking did improve). Some of our big guns got well held and yet we still managed to compete well. Looking forward to the re-match

Two weeks in a row of that sort of pressure has certainly helped the football world take notice of where we've come from.

To shutout Swan all day is a fantastic effort, Pendles is just a magician in the clinches and around the ground.

Heppell has certainly announced himself in a big way after todays game. Awareness, poise, endurance...has set the benchmark for our 50-100 game players that their selection isn't a given any longer.
